Hi Everyone.
I know...you all want to know who won.... both the blog candy - and the Big Shot for those that helped me with the charity card drive.... Hang on though....
A quick card for you tonight. I used the Palspaperarts sketch to create this card. I don't often use Pumpkin Pie, but I wanted something bright and rich to show off the gorgeous stamp in the Dream Garden set. I just love this sentiment "Every day holds the possibility of a miracle." Isn't that just so true! It's from the Peace Within stamp set
I used Pumpkin Pie on the kimono and then used my black marker to create a shawl effect on the kimono, color the fan black and also her hair. I used a piece of the DSP from the Kaleidoscope pack and half pearls to add to the asian feel. I hope you like it. I thought the sketch was great and I was really inspired to turn the sketch on it's side and use this stamp.
So, onto the winners....
Drum roll please.... winners of the Blog Candy Draw for January are:
Trish
and
Cam
Trish and Cam, I will send you an email with details on what your choices are this month. Thanks to you all for playing along in the comments Blog Candy Draw.
now... for the other BIG SHOT prize.... I am so grateful to all of you who participated. Here's Bilbo Baggins to announce the winner. I wrote everyone's name on a piece of paper, folded those pieces of paper up, put them into a SU empty clamshell box and shook them around. I woke Bilbo up from his slumber and asked him to choose a piece of balled up paper!
"Oooh.... Mom... I can hear the sound of crinkly things.... you awoke me from my slumber on this nice cozy blanket... so this had better be good."
"Hey you.. get your big fat red head out of my box... this is my job... Go on! Move it!"
"OK. Mmmm... which little crinkly thing to choose to play with... mmm which one shall it be?"
"Hey. It's mine. I chose it. I'll eat it if I want to!"
AND THE WINNER IS
Hazel. Congratulations. Please send me an email and we can set up how we arrange for you to receive your Big Shot.
I am so grateful to Adelle, Beth, Lynn, Kelli and Yvonne. You guys really rock my world. I know that your wonderful cards are going to be appreciated and the gift will carry on giving. Not only did you make me happy, you will make the choosers of the cards at fromourhearts happy... and you will make the recipents of those cards happy! For those of you who made cards for hugsandhope... you know that you will have brightened the day of those courageous children. So thank you.
On that note.... hugs to all of you - and HUGE HUGS to those who helped with this effort.

Yea Hazel! This was a great cause and I'm glad to have been part of it...even if it was last minute (my last two weeks have been CRAZY!). I love being able to bring a smile to a little ones face. Thanks Jaydee for organizing!!!

Oh my, Bilbo Baggins really DOES pick the names! How darned cute is that, and the pictures of the actual event happening are to die for! Just a treasure. The card is great, but I am not too fond of the colors that you chose. Too bright and not enough contrast for me. I like that you added the shawl, looks very nice, you did a great job on it. So sorry about the card, just not my taste. Well, we can't win them all of the time. You wouldn't want me to be fake would you? I still love ya!

P.S. A big Congratulations to all of the Winners.
