Hi Everyone
Happy Friday. You have no idea how glad I am that it is the weekend! I'm so sorry that I didn't get to post last night. Just to give you an idea of how long the days have been this week... I started at 6am this morning and got off my last call at 7.00pm - and it's Friday! It's been so frustrating only managing to get to my stamping space once this week.
Tonight's card pays homage to Ruby Red and uses the fabulously versatile set - Best Wishes and More
I was thrilled to see that the challenge at stampinroyalty this week was to use punches. I don't use mine anywhere near as often as I could. So, it was great to get them out! It's a simple card that uses only two colors and my favorite new sentiment "there's a bit of magic in everything" from the new A Little Big of Magic set. Don't forget - May 1 is the start of the mini catalog ordering. A Little Bit of Magic is one of the new sets you can order :-) Pop along to see what the talented goddesses at stampinroyalty have created for you as inspiration - and check out the fabulous submissions. You know you will find some inspiration.
This is a quick and easy card to make and you need nothing except a couple of punches, ink, versamark and embossing powder.
Card details:
Card stock: Whisper White, Ruby Red
Ink: Ruby Red
Punches: Scallop border and 1 3/8" punches. I cut the other squares at 1 6/8" using my cutter
I stamped the flowers onto the 1 3/8" Ruby Red squares using Versamark and embossed with White embossing powder.
I cut the white squares at 1 6/8" using my table top cutter. The backing matt finished size is 2". I used my scallop border punch to decorate the bottom edge of the card. I love the way the scallops echo the shapes of the flower.
I mounted the white square onto the backing matt using snail. The Ruby Red square was adhered using stampin dimensionals.
So, a quick, easy card for you tonight. One that can easily be changed for any color scheme.
As I missed a post last night, I am carrying over the comment blog candy for 1 more day. Bilbo Baggins will be drawing tomorrow night instead of tonight.
Trish, you continue to be in my prayers, especially as you begin the next part of your recovery journey. It's going to be a journey of ups and downs, but you know that there are many people who visit this blog who are praying for you.
Now... I'm off to go and hopefully find a little mojo and do the challenges at palspaperarts, playdate cafe and lordhavemercy! I'm inspired by the challenges this week...now... let's see if I can do anything with them.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend filled with love, laughter and lots of memorable moments.
Hugs
Jaydee
