Big Shot Butterfly friend

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday night.  Welcome to Jaydee's Stamping Up SU space!  Your visits are always appreciated!

Tonight's card is NOT a Christmas card 🙂  I know… I know.. it's amazing!

I was inspired by the splitcoaststampers challenges – sketch challenge SC248 and the clean and simple color challenge 34… the color challenge was to use pink, green, white, blue, vanilla.  This is the second card I made with this color challenge – both of them are very, very different.

For the sketch challenge, I decided to feature my big shot.  I absolutely love my big shot and use it very often for cards.  In this case I used it for the butterflies and also to emboss the background on the pink strip.

I managed to incorporate both vanilla and white in the design.  I used the bridal designer series paper for the background and then the texturz plate and my big shot to texturize the pink background paper.  they match rally well.  The butterflies are both cut using the butterfly die and my big shot.  The tag is from the hodgepodge hardware set and the pearls are from the pretties kit.

I hope you had a fabulous day and that you get to spend time doing things you love – with those that you love the most this weekend.  I'll be spending time with my DH as it's our anniversary.  We've been together for 14 years this year – but we only married 6 years ago…. so we are going to spend some quality time together.  No time in my stamping space for a little while.  I know I'll be having withdrawal symptoms!!!
Peace
Jaydee

  1. I can see that the Anniversary joy translated to your lovely joyful card. Love the butterfly it fits so well with the DSP. Congratulations on the Anniversary Jaydee – If hubby loves you half as much as your readers do you are a lucky woman indeed. And don’t worry you still have ink in your veins (under your nails(?)) so the withdrawl shouldn’t be too bad – lol! Maybe if the kitties keep the stamping desk warm they will keep the Mojo from catching a chill!

  2. Jean! Now you made me blush – and at my age it’s hard to distinguish a blush from a hot flash! 🙂 but this was definitely a blush. You also put a huge smile on my face. thank you 🙂
I’ll be posting some pics of our anniversary lunch tomorrow. You know I really appreciate everything you do for the SU demos – and am very honored to call you friend. Blessings, Jaydee
