Hi Everyone. Happy Thursday night.
I still haven't gotten to make a card this week. I swear, I'm having such withdrawal symptoms, I'm going crazy!
This was a card I made for the cleanandsimplestamping ftl84. It's such a cool layout and I was drawn to using a set that is new to me, but may be very old to some of you. This was a hostess set back in the mid-2000's I believe. I saw a sample made with it on splitcoast and decided I absolutely had to have it! It wasn't so easy tracking down a long retired set, but I found a brand new one and quickly made it clear mount :-)
I hope you have had a chance to look at the new color collections and see how the colors have been moved around a little, and seen the new ones. You can see the details, including the color samples in this post. I swear, no kidding, I have been dreaming about using Daffodil Delight. I cannot wait to get my hands on that and Marina Mist! How sad is that :-) However, I will be stocking up on Orchid Opulence and Mellow Moss :-)
I really love the clean and simple lines and Cherie, I think you will like this one :-)
I haven't heard from a couple of you in a few days, so hope that you are all doing OK. Lynn, Germaine, Cam, Alison - I hope you are all doing alright. I know that Adelle is traveling and I hope she is having lots of fun. Of course, it's always great to hear from Trish when she is well enough to share a little time with us.
So on to tonight's card.
Well, old-mother winter hasn't let go just yet. I couldn't understand why the junco's were still hanging around and hadn't gone North..... mmmm... well... now I know. I can't wait for the end of May when our Farmer's Market opens in earnest. This winter we bought three market baskets from my dear friend Beverly, who is a Longaberger consultant. I don't know, there is something just so wonderful about going to the market on Saturday with a gorgeous basket, a pretty lining and filling it from the stands with fresh, fragrant veges. Maybe it's just me...but it really gives me a thrill. Now, I can't wait to use them. I might take a pick and show you them the first time we get to use them at the market. :-) They really are fabulous. We've been using them at our local store, but it just doesn't quite feel the same :-)
This is the 5th week in a row that Lou has been traveling, and considering the hours that I have been working, plus trying to do the books for the entire year of 2009 of Lou's business.... it's been a little chaotic around here and I think I am starting to go a little stir crazy.
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday. You know that your visits - and your comments (hint, hint :-)) are always much appreciated and are what keep me doing this every night.
I hope you get to spend a weekend enjoying the things you love, with those that you love.
Hugs
Jaydee
