Hi Everyone
Happy Monday night. I hope you are all have a great start to the week. Tonight I have so much to do and so many cards still to finish up!
I did want to share a card I made using one of my new sets – Cherish Friendship. I put it together with A Word for You. I decided it need a little touch on vintage – but with clean and simple lines.
Card deets – all supplies Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
- Card stock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, So Saffron
- Stamps: Background: Well Worn. Focal image: Cherish Friendship. Sentiment: A Word for You
- Inks: Versamark, Basic Black, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard
- Accessories: Victoria Crochet Trim,
A little different for me… but I was pleased with the overall look of it.
On a personal note.
Well, my 8" egg on my leg where I tripped on Saturday has turned into my lower leg equaling elaphantine proportions. Not only that… 3/4 of my leg from about 3 inches above my knee, to just above my ankle is one big bruise. Lou and I checked the colors… Concord, Wisteria, Razzleberry and a little Garden Green. A veritable cornucopia of rich colors! Lou thought you would never believe me unless I showed you, so he told me to take some pics and put them up. I've made them small so that you have to blow them up to see them, just in case you are squeamish. Seriously…. it's a bit of a mess 🙂
So… be warned… card making can be hazardous to your health, and look at these pictures at your own risk. 🙂
Knee looking down… rather enlarged me thinks… can you even discern a knee in there???
this is the view looking on the inside of my calf… now.. onto the outside.. this was tough to get a photo of
especially, as I was lying on my side trying to photograph the lower part of my leg from the knee down the side of my shin!!!! errrr… remind me not to do that again!
I'm guessing that I must have torn a ligament or two to get this much bruising, especially with the hot and cold places on my leg, the swelling, the stiffness and the inevitable pain.
So… there you have it… what a mess! However, nothing broken! Surprisingly. When one falls on concrete, with velocity and weight… it's surprising not to have a break. I am very thankful for that, I can tell you!
Prayers tonight for those of you who need a lift, Missy and Rach, included.
Have a wonderful, safe, love filled Tuesday.
Hugs
Jaydee

I am so sorry you are hurt so badly. Hope you will be feeling better and healing fast. Did you get my email?
Oh my goodness Jaydee, that looks like a terrible fall, I am thinking of you and hope you are ok!!! I want to let you know how much I love your pretty card, the colouring is beautiful.
Hugs,
Lesley
Hi Jaydee, Oh what a yummylicious card you have made, love it, love it and love it some more!
Oh my goodness me, you did do a number on your leg when you fell, you are lucky you did not snap a bone or something, I guess it will take a few weeks before the swelling completely goes and a little while longer for the bruising to go! Took nearly 6 weeks for all the bruising to go on my arm when I hit the deck, and my bruise was nothing compared to yours, take it easy huh!

And why have you not been to your doctor? This looks bad.
Hi Jaydee! You are so lucky that you didn’t break or crack something from that fall! It really looks painful! I hope you heal fast! I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers!
I love your card & this stamp set! I do have that one on its way here(supposedly Wednesday- I can’t wait!)
Hugs & prayers to all who are in need! A special prayer for you too Jaydee & Rach!
Ouch lady! That looks really bad and makes me hurt for you. Hope it heals fast and you are jumping around again. Very lucky you didn’t break it, but you really should have gone to the doctor with that kind of bruising.
On the other hand, very nice card that you have shared with us. Thanks!
Lovely card Jaydee. I like the country feel, very welcoming.
Your leg looks horrible! I hope you heal quickly too and will keep you in my prayers. No wonder your kitties came to your side so fast!
Aaaaaand, what has the doctor had to say about this leg of yours? Holy moly that’s a bad one, friend. :o( I ache just *looking* at it. :o(
The card is lovely–truly. You made those other two stamps in the set look wonderful (I truly had no idea what I would ever do with that goose), and I do so adore your CAS style. :o)
Elevate and take it easy. Lou, make sure she rests, okay?
Hugs and prayers, especially you, Missy and Jaydee.
The legs horrendous. Hope it is not too painful. You really need to be careful!
The card is great. I love the country feel.
Oh my goodness! At least it’s not another broken ankle. Heal quickly my friend.
Jaydee, you are in my prayers! You are always so faithful to remember others in need.
Your cards are lovely, try one from the colors on your leg!
Hope you are up and kicking soon!
Love the card Jaydee. It’s a little different for you, but still clean. That’s why I like your cards so much!
Hope your leg heals quickly. That looks like it’s uncomfortable to walk.
Sorry I haven’t commented much. I switched to a new job and it’s keeping me rather busy. I still stop by every day though, just don’t comment.
Prayers to all who need them!
Yep, I can REALLY see the Razzleberry in that leg! OUCH! Thinking of you and hoping you start healing soon!
Love your wonderful card. Of course the little duck/goose is precious added to it and I love the lace. So very pretty.
(Thank you so much for the fabulous comments on my card for Paper Players last week and for the selection of Headliner! So excited. I still haven’t been able to find the badge to post on my blog – but looking. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you again.)

Jaydee, Wow!! it looks so painful…hope your okay and that it heals fast. Lucky you didn’t break it, but it looks very severe. I love your card, especially the coloring and simplicity of it along with the colors you choose. The duck pops right at you!!. Take care of that leg and rest up.
Jaydee the card is fabulous, but your leg OMG!
I hurt just looking at it, I can’t imagine how it must feel. Your so sweet to have such a sense of humor about it too. “razzleberry”… too funny. I sure hope it clears up soon and nothing serious is wrong. Hugs.
With the look of the injury, I am hurt just looking at it. Yet, you have such humor with your colorful description of the bruise. Hope you’re feeling better soon and do rest up.
Love the coloring of your pretty card. A bit distress yet still keeps it CAS. Thank you for sharing. Hugs.
Love your card. Wow the leg looks painful
