Christmas Collage and Feel Good Friday

Hi Everyone.

Happy Friday night.   I hope you all had a great week.  Me… I am sooooo pleased it is Friday.

Tonight's card is another clean and simple layout.  I really loved the look of the Christmas Collage and will be using it in different ways….I decided to combine Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White… OK… who is actually surprised by me doing that…. go on… put your hand up.  Yep. Just as I thought.  No-one is surprised by that 🙂

I stamped the Christmas Collage stamp in Versamark and then used Iridescence Ice embossing powder, which was heat set with my heat gun.

The ribbon is the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon.  I wrapped a Real Red Glimmer Brad around the knot of the ribbon and secured it at the back.  I used Crystal Effects to secure the back of the bow and the brad to the card base.   The "25" was adhered to the card base using stampin' dimensionals – as was the sentiment.

Before I get to tonight's Feel Good Friday – I'd like to give a shout out to Michele.   Michele let me know today that she has a box of cards for our Operation Write Home card drive!    YAY!!!!! Way to go, Michele.  You made my little heart sing.  I cannot thank you enough.  You know that you will have made the troops and their families so happy.  Thank you for supporting the drive.   I appreciate it so much.

Now….. y'all know I love animals.   I have an especial affinity for dolphins.  They are so magnificent, so intelligent, have strong family bonds, are playful and have been known to save humans and other animals in distress in the sea.   So, I couldn't help but be amazed by this video.   I hope you will enjoy it.    If you enjoy it, I hope you will also look for tuna that is labeled dolphin friendly tuna.  You know that dolphins were not caught in the nets and drowned if you do.

So… onto the dolphin video – enjoy

Prayers tonight for Germaine, Missy, T, Pri, Sue and John.  Lesley, Rach, Adelle and their furbabies.  Cam, I hope you are feeling better.   Also for those of you in need.

As always, thank you for visiting my blog.  You know your support means a great deal to me.

Have a fabulous Saturday.  Filled with love, laughter and time spent with those you love.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Jaydee, this is just THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS CARD! So clean and simple – AND elegant. Very nice. And I’m like you about that Cherry Cobbler! I LOVE that stuff and am already having to think about ordering more! I mean, hey, Valentine’s will be here soon and I can already “see” it for that one!

  2. I have resisted this stamp. However, you have made a believer out of me. This card is beautiful. What did you use to make the sparkle? Off to color!

  3. Thanks for the Feel Good Friday! Added to the LHS win tonight it’s made for a super feel good evening. Love the card as well, the bow and the sparkle brad are the perfect accesories.
I’m hoping to box up my cards tomorrow after the Chatty Chick run (and the farmer’s market of course), I’m just wishing I’d gotten a chance to watch you coloring video earlier! You’ll see why. It’s a learning process right?!
To one and all have a fabulous weekend, to those in need, extra warm thoughts and prayers.

  4. Adelle, I updated the post to give the detail you were looking for. I used versamark and Iridescent Ice embossing powder for the sparkle.

  5. Beautiful, Jaydee! When I first saw this stamp at Convention, I knew I had to have it! Plus, the dolphin video was awesome! I forwarded it to my son in college, as I knew he would love it. I also sent it to the gal who took my place teaching!

  6. This is so pretty Jaydee…I love the simple layout and the clean stamping…it really allows the image to shine.
    Smiles,
