Hi Everyone
Happy Friday! I know…. I know…. A Christmas Card! This time using Stampin Up's hostess set Christmas Punch and Heard from the Heart for the sentiment. I just don't seem to be able to stop myself making Christmas cards this week. However, I promise this is the last one I'll be loading for a little while! This layout is the Splitcoast Stampers card layout sketch for this week. It's sketch number 238. I loved it so much, that I actually did 3 different cards with it. Tonight, I decided to show you the Christmas version and I'll be loading the others tomorrow. I love the color combination. I textured the red matt with the Texturz plate – I thought it had a really festive feel. The gorgeous Father Christmas Cheer stamps are from the Christmas Punch hostess set. It's a fabulous Christmas set. (If you would like information on how you can earn this set, just send me an email.) The stamps are the perfect size to use with the Scallop Square punch. I matted the stamps with a piece of Merry Moments designer series paper and then a layer of Olive Olive card stock. I used Old Olive and Real Red ribbon to finish it off. The sentiment is from the Heard from the Heart set. It's one of my favorite sentiment sets.
The layout takes me back to my comfort zone of crisp clean lines and strong color combinations. I hope you enjoy.
On the personal front: A beautiful day here in the mid-west. Almost fall like and just the ideal temperature. I'm really enjoying my time off from work and just chilling. It seems so rare that we can do that these days. I did manage to get some play time and had the chance to finish some swap cards from my upline's mini-convention and do a challenge card. I find that I'm much more productive since I became a Stampin Up demonstrator. Before I started to use the SU products almost exlcusively, I found that I spent much more money and was more stifled in my creativity. Very little was spontaneous. I never seemed to have the right card stock, ribbon, embelishment, or whatever it was that I was looking for. Now, my ribbon matches my cardstock which matches my inks. It really works very well for me. Well, my Norwegian Forest Cat is telling me it's time to stop doing what I'm doing. He's walking all over my keyboard and bumping heads with me. Now, he's just decided it's time for a sleep and has curled up between my arms, put his little head on my arm and settled down with his long, hairy tail all over my keyboard. Who can resist it…. I'm off to go cuddle.:-)
As always, wishing you lots of inkspiration and time to do the things you love. Thank you for stopping by and spending a little time in my area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visit is much appreciated.
Peace
Jaydee
