Greetings of the Season and Watercolor Winter

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

The fabulous Cath has a new World Card Making Day Moxie challenge and I combined that with the wonderfully versatile sketch from the design team across at JUGS to create tonight's card.

I decided to use the new Watercolor Winter, inked in Cherry Cobbler, to create the focal point area.  I then combined that with Greetings of the Season for the sentiment.  I knew that I wanted to pair the Cherry Cobbler with the metallic gold card stock.  All that was left to add was a silk ribbon bow and some gold pearls.  Here's what I came up with:

You really should go and check out the design team and submission cards for JUGS and check out the submission cards for Moxie!

On a personal note:

Tomorrow is my last day before returning to work.  It has been incredible to have two full weeks off work and to switch off and just enjoy each day.  It was great having Pam and John to show around as we were able to experience our new area as a tourist and got to do things we hadn't done before.

I did get to spend some time in my stamping space today and made a total of 5 cards!  It is taking me forever to create anything right now.  As I have had so little time recently to craft, I really do spend a lot of time trying to remember what stamps I have that I can use and I spent 15 minutes today trying to remember where my paper piercer was!!!!  Considering I'm a pretty organized person, it shows you little I'm crafting if I can't remember something so basic 🙂

Starting later this week I will be showcasing the fabulous bloggers who have contributed to the Operation Write Home Card Drive this month.  I can't wait to share their creations with you.  I know you will be as inspired as I was!   I will also be announcing the winners of the blog candy from those who have submitted cards!  So, check back later in the week for this.

As always, thank you for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  I really do appreciate your visits and your comments.   Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. So glad you are back in your stamping space. This card is a classic and so beautiful with that gorgeous bow. You are right on your game again so keep them coming!

  2. Beautiful Jaydee! I love the pearl cluster in the center of the flower and that gorgeous ribbon! I have to chuckle about losing your way in your stamp room. That happens to me as well. It’s frustrating, but our mojo always comes back. Yours did in a wonderful way! So sorry to have missed the OWH card drive this time. Two sick kids, two long weeks. I just couldn’t pull it together with multiple doctor trips. I’ll be sure to try on the next round. Maybe I should just start producing them now like that other gal who works ahead. ; ) I haven’t seen any pretty birds in a while now. Just the normal sparrows and few woodpeckers. I keep feeding them, putting out fresh water daily, and trying my hardest to attract new species on their migration travels. I think it’s time for a visit to Wild Birds Unlimited to see what they suggest. I feel like mama bird who has an empty nest! lol. Hope your day back to work isn’t extremely long with lots of catch up waiting on you. Looking forward to seeing your other 5 cards soon!

  3. What a beautiful, classic card. I’m so glad you had time with Pam and John, but it’s wonderful to have to back with us again, Jaydee. Missed you. What’s travelling through your yard these days?

  4. What a beautiful card. Sounds like you had a lot of fun with your friends. I’m so happy for you. Hope you had a good day at work today …

  5. Fabulous Christmas card! Love the big bow and pearls in the poinsettia. Thanks for joining us at Just Us Girls this week 🙂
