Watercolor Winter for FabFridays

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday.

This will be a short post as Lou and I are celebrating our anniversary tonight!

FabFridays have a great sketch challenge that I almost missed!  I think I am squeaking in just under the wire on this one.

Here's the sketch:

I decided to do something a little different with the Watercolor Winter set.  I know it's a great Christmas set, but got to thinking that it should be good for other cards around this time of the year.  I pulled out some gold embossing powder and Always Artichoke ink, did some masking – and this is what I came up with

Of course, I had to use my new SU labels and piercing template :-)  I also decided to do the base of the card in Gold Metallic card stock to help complement the gold embossing.

Don't forget to pop along to the FabFriday site and check out the fabulous design team and submission cards.

On a personal note:

I did have to share a couple of photos with you tonight.  Here's a photo of the pumpkins that we carved (sorry its a little blurry….. but I think you still get the idea 🙂 )

I've always wanted to put hay bales on a front porch.  This year is the first year that we have been able to do that – as it's the first year we have had a front porch :-)   The spider… LOVE the spider… we got him at Pottery Barn.  His name is Fred 🙂

Here's what it looks like at night

As always, thank you for visiting my little corner of the stamping blogosphere.  You know your visits and support are very much appreciated – as are your comments 🙂

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

  1. Great card Jaydee! The piercing really showcases the image so beautifully and I think this card is gender neutral.
