Kind and Caring Thoughts - Feel Better Soon - Mojo Monday 97

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday and welcome to jaydeestamping.

Today's card is my submission for Mojo Monday 97.  I used the Stampin Up's Kind and Caring Thoughts hostess set.  It's a fabulous set and I love the sentiments.  I decided to feature Rich Razzleberry as the main color.  I don't generally use circles on my cards... however, with the challenges in the last couple of weeks, it's
Mojomonday972 (2) forced me out of my comfort zone and into the circles :-)
I like the simplicity of the layout and think that it's very versatile.  I used the Cottage Wall designer series paper and my Circle Scissor Plus to cut the circles.  I stamped the flower images on Whisper White card stock and then matted them on Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery.

Jaydee tip:  I used three different greens on this card and yet they all blend together really well.  That's the great thing about the Stampin' Up colors - we can make them work.  The Cottage Wall designer series paper has both Old Olive (love it:-)), Certainly Celery and blends with Kiwi Kiss.  For some reason I'm really drawn to green :-)  I found that the Kiwi Kiss corduroy buttons worked really well even though the background green is Old Olive.  So play around with your greens. If I'd backed the flower on Old Olive, it would not have "popped" in just the way I wanted it.  Using the Certainly Celery gave me just the lift that I needed.

The flowers are stamped in Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum.  The sentiment is from the Kind and Caring Thoughts set.  I actually got this set because of the sentiments.  The flowers and ginkgo leaves were the cherry on the top for me.... it was the sentiments that I really loved.  The fact that it's a hostess free gift is even better!

On the personal front:  It's still really cool here in Minnesota, which means we can sit out and eat dinner without being carried off by the mosquitoes.  (Many Minnesotan's will tell you that the Mosquito is the state bird in summer!)  Much consternation in the garden tonight!  I was showering and missed all the drama.  (My DH came and told me what had happened.) One of our resident area foxes decided she was hungry and came rushing through our garden like a shot of lightening and caught a squirrel.  As the grey squirrel is an introduced species, I wasn't that upset that she'd caught dinner.  I'm always amazed by the amazing variety of animals, birds and insects in our garden.  I've lived on four continents and never experienced such closeness to nature.  It's fabulous.  I feel lucky every single day.  Some people stop and smell the coffee....me.... I stop and watch the microcosm of life in my little patch of garden.

As always, thank you so much to those of you who have visited and spent a little part of your day in my spot in the blogosphere.  I really appreciate you stopping by.  Whilst you are here... would someone please go and vote for Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay or Soft Suede on the poll.  I'm starting to feel sorry for them :-)

I wish you an inkspirational day, filled with lots of time to spend doing things you love - with those who mean the most to you.

Jaydee
