Hi Everyone. Happy Monday! Two for the price of one visit tonight. PalspaperArts Challenge 5 is a theme challenge - Halloween. Well... those of you who visit often know that I couldn't resist this one! Stampin' Up! has created some fantastic Halloween sets this year, but Halloween Hoot is the one I decided to invest in. It really appealed to my sense of the ridiculous - and my cards reflect that. :-) You can see my Halloween Hoot collection here. Here are the two new ones for tonight. I couldn't resist using the Sweet Centers - hot hair balloon basket... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday! It's been a relaxing weekend - although very cold today - 60 degrees! I think this might be an indication of what's to come for winter. Today's card is my submission for the stamping411.blogspot challenge number 114. It uses Stampin' Up's Sweet Centers set and Christmas Cocoa designer series paper. It's our anniversary coming up, so this got me to thinking about Anniversary cards :-) I wanted to use the Sweet Centers set again. I like to try to show you the many ways that you can use the sets that I buy. As I've said... Read more →
HI Everyone. Happy Saturday! I found another new sketch team yesterday 2sketches4you. Click the link and go check out what the teams and players have put together as inspiration for you. This particular sheet from the Christmas Cocoa paper has very subtle detail and the detailing on the texturz plate didn't show up that well in the shots... Read more →
Hi Everyone - Happy Thursday evening. You have no idea how happy I am that it's FRIDAY tomorrow. So today's card is for a new challenge - Weekend Sketch Challenge 93 . I haven't done one of Beate's challenges before and I must admit that I pfaffed and fiddled with this one for quite a while. I like the sketch, I just don't think my mojo was flowing quite as much as usual. However, this saying from the Home for Christmas set is very dear to my heart - as I think it is to so many of us these... Read more →
HI Everyone, Happy Wednesday evening! tonight's card is the Stampin Up Greenhouse Garden set. I wanted to create a clean and simple card really focusing on the flowers. I created this for a friend who is in hospital and I wanted to create a bunch of virtual flowers as opposed to real ones. :-) Card Stock: Whisper White Jaydee tip: (always my preferred card stock when I'm looking for a crisp, clean central image). Matt is Melon Mambo. Jaydee tip: when you want a really clean card which still looks rich, keep the colors to a minimum. Here I used... Read more →
