Delightful Decorations for the Diva Coffee Break Challenge
22 August 2009
Hi Everyone - Happy Saturday.
It's a gorgeous day here, a little cool, but sunny and bright.
Today's card is another sneak peek for you. This new Stampin' Up! Delightful Decorations set is available starting September 1 from the Mini Catalog. Don't forget to check out my blog on September 1 as you will be able to download the mini catalog and place your order with me.
I loved the challenge from the Diva Coffee Break Challenge 141 this week and thought it was a great excuse to use two of the decorations. I wanted to create a monochromatic card using the Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper (also a sneak peek :-)). I also wanted to take a break from the usual green/red colors that I've been showing you so far.
Card recipe:
I stamped the decorations on Not Quite Navy paper, to give a little bit of depth below the silver and the blue blends so well with the Basic Grey. The piece of DSP that I used is silver and white and once you see it as a whole page you will be really surprised. This new DSP is textured and luscious. I wanted the stripe matt in the grey and white to go between the two grey matts.
I was really pleased with the way the card came out. It has the classic clean lines that I love, yet feels rich because of the embossing powder, the taffeta ribbon and the monochromatic color scheme.
So many challenges to do this week - I might even feel impelled to do the MojoMonday 100 celebration day 6 challenge if I can get my chores done! Oh, why can't I wiggle my nose and the toilets get cleaned, floors cleaned, laundry done and folded and cupboards cleaned????
Have a fabulous Saturday and as always, thank you so much to those of you who visit everyday - and f this is your first visit, welcome and I hope you will come and visit me in my little stamping spot again.
Peace and Hugs
Jaydee
