Sweet Centers - Another sneak peek for MojoMonday 101

Hi Everyone - Happy Monday.
I'm really starting to feel almost like myself.  I hadn't realized just how out of things I was last week, until my DH and I had a discussion about a recorded program I wanted to watch on TV.  (I admit, I'm an HGTV junkie and love Design Star).... so... on Friday, I started to play the Design Star I'd recorded the previous Sunday.  My DH insisted we had watched it - I absolutely insisted we hadn't.  Apparently, I had sat on my favorite couch, with my eyes open and watched the entire program - but remembered absolutely NONE of it!  I won't go into the stories at the office where I had updated a document, cut and pasted updated content into the new document.... and.... well.... let's say I did cut and paste - but back to the original document.  So... all round... the pain, not sleeping for 3 days - and the pills - obviously took a greater toll on my little brain cells than I had thought.  When my upline called me today to check I was doing OK and I said, "well, I think I'm back to normal".  There was an incredulous intake of breath and a "well, let's define normal!"  Cheeky thing :-)

Tonight's card is my submission for Mojo Monday 101 - they always do such amazing sketches.  If you are looking for inspiration - definitely check them out, as well as the older sketches.  This new Stampin Up sneak peek is for the Sweet Centers set.  It's going to be a very popular set and can't wait for you to see some of the uses in the new mini catalog. I decided to make a birthday card out of it.  I've always wanted to take a Hot Air Balloon ride, but never have... so I can dream through this new set.

Mm101
I wanted to make use of my new stamp set, but with existing paper and even some retired in-colors.  (Kiwi Kiss will remain one of my all time favorite colors and will NEVER give it up!)  This card was actually quick and easy to make and could definitely be made in 10 minutes.

Card recipe:

Card Stock:  Regal Rose, Old Olive, Shimmery White
Inks: Old Olive, Melon Mambo (marker used to ink the weights), Regal Rose for the sentiment
Ribbon: Old Olive Striped Ribbon
Embellishments: Kiwi Kiss button sewn with Linen Thread; Pretties kit: Fabric flower and half pearl
Punches: Scallop Round Punch, 1 3/8', 1 1/4" and 1"  Jaydee Tip:  I wanted to make a bigger outer ring to fit the balloon, so I punched two scallop punches and joined them together to give me a larger area.  I also used the Photo Corner's punch.
Sentiment:  Short and Sweet - where would I be without this set!!!! - Stamped in  Melon Mambo
Designer Series Paper:  Patterns Pack II and pieces of Walk in the Park to create the balloon.

Overall, I think it's a bright, happy card that I can't wait to share with my niece who has an upcoming birthday.  She's crazy about pink!

I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday, tomorrow's card isn't a sneak preview - but using one of my favorite new sets - Greenhouse Garden.  I love the card - so hope you will pop by and take a peak.

Peace and hugs
Jaydee
