Wandering Words - Grateful - Sneak Peek!

HI Everyone - Happy Friday..... Ohhhhhhh I am so pleased it's Friday.  MojoMonday has certainly kept us busy with challenges this week.  Here's my submission for day 5.  This is from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog, which you will be able to download from my blog on September 1.  I can promise you that there are some amazing things in the catalog.  I had to really hold back from ordering just about everything.  I did promise to show you some sneak peaks and so far I have shown you the Shimmery Paint (which I love btw) and here's the grateful/thankful stamp from the Wandering Words set.  I love this set - how many of my sets don't I love?  Jaydee tip:... and I use this with shoes, too...... Look through the catalog, note your absolute must haves.... sleep on it.... go back and look again ... then decide the ones you really can't live without. :-)  This one is one I decided I really couldn't live without. :-)  For some reason.... there are always so many I can't live without.  Which, is probably why my hubby had to build me a shoe cupboard - but we won't talk about how many!  Anyway, back on topic....I was pleased to be able to use this new set for the MojoMonday challenge

Mmday5

As usual, I kept the embellishments at a minimum, to let the sentiment stand alone and be the central focal point.

Card recipe:

Card stock A2 - horizontal - More Mustard
Matts:  Chocolate Chip 5 x 2 7/8; Really Rust 4 7/8 x 2 3/4; Garden Green strip 5 1/2 x 3/4
Stamp:  Wandering Words, stamped on Very Vanilla.
Inks:  I inked the individual pieces with Really Rust, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip and More Mustard Markers.  I huffed and puffed on them just prior to stamping on the Very Vanilla.
Ribbon:  Chocolate Chip
Designer Series Paper: Autumn Traditions (115668)
I used my 1 3/4 punch to cut out the circles of the Autumn Traditions paper.  I thought the leaves on the paper worked well with the stamp.  I also loved the way the stamped leaves didn't fully color the paper.  How often during Fall do we find leaves that have holes in them as they start to become compost.

Overall, I was really pleased with the card and - as usual - liked the warm, rich, bold colors.  I can't wait to use the other stamps from the set now.

On a personal note:
it seems to have been raining forever these last few days.  The Oriole visited our Hummingbird feeder today.  I just wish that we could keep them during their nesting and rearing time.  They briefly visit when they first arrive in the area and will then visit occasionally now until they migrate.  I love the flash of Orange and Black.  We've also been blessed by either the chipmunk or the squirrels who planted some sunflower seeds for future eating.  Mother nature is wonderful.... the seeds sprouted and we now have a selection of sunflowers, which the Goldfinches are feasting over.  My desk is in front of my kitchen door and I am only a few feet away from the Goldfinches who hang upside down on the massive heads of the sunflowers that are growing in my pots!

Well... I'm off to play a little more - I promise another sneak peak for you tomorrow from the new mini catalog.

As always, thanks for spending time in my little area of the blogosphere.
Have a fabulous Friday night
Peace and hugs
Jaydee
