Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday and welcome to Jaydee's SU stamping space. So, Bilbo Baggins has obviously missed me. I tried photographing my cards last night and he would not leave the photo tent. It was impossible to get a decent photo. So... here's my card for the Splitcoaststampers card sketch challenge 251. I actually made two cards - but the other one photographed even worse than this one :-) If you are looking for even more inspiration, go check out the SCS challenges. There are new ones every day. Here's the card created using the Berry Christmas set. I've used this set on several occasions, and you can see those cards here. I really love this set!
Here's a photo of Bilbo holding court in my photo tent.... I actually had a card in here that I was trying to photograph!
He's rather cute, isn't he? So.. where was I... oh yes.... today's Berry Christmas card. Well.... it was going fine... except Bilbo decided he absolutely HAD to eat the card!
So, I apologize for the whiskers and the hairy chin, they were not part of the design! :-)
What did I use for the card?
- Real red card stock
- Old Olive card stock for the matts
- I used the Bridal specialty paper - to make it red instead of white... I used my brayer and Real Red ink and brayered over it. I also used my sponge dauber dipped in Old Olive to soften the red.
- The background paper is from the Christmas Jingle simply scrappin kit
- I used Old Olive and Real Red grosgrain ribbon and 4 Old Olive brads to finish off the card.
I'm off to try to clean out the cat hairs in my photo tent :-) I hope you have a fabulous Wednesday and that you get to spend time doing the things you love with those that you love the most. As for me... I'm working, but at least my pussycats are keeping me company. Right now, they spend a lot of time lying in front of the fireplace willing the thing to turn on. I swear, if they could turn it on, they would. Bilbo is a fire freak... he LOVES to be warm, as does our old man Merlin. Bailey - my red cat - does not like to be warm. He can normally be found in the coldest place in the house. What odd little creatures they are, but I love them all. Even though I now have to re-photograph my cards. As I write this, Bilbo is curled up on his cushion on the "L" of my stamping desk. His paw is over his eyes, as I have my Ott-Lite on - and it's obviously distributing his sleep. His little paws and his whiskers are twitching. No doubt he's chasing a juicy mouse in his sleep.
As always, I want to thank you for spending time in my area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits are always appreciated - as is your support.
Peace
Jaydee
