Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday Night.
I got to spend lots of quality time giving a little love to my stamps, ink and card stock today. In fact, I was obviously giving too much love to my goodies, because Bilbo Baggins decided enough was enough
Yep.... Bilbo sat on my PC and decided that it was time I paid him some attention. You can see that he has completely obscured my entire laptop!!! Oh yeah.. and you can see my table at it's messiest. I do tend to be a neat freak when it comes to stamping. I tidy up everything between cards. I put away all my scissors, glues, etc. and start with a completely clean slate before the next card. Oh.. yeah.. and I guess from this pic you can see that I have to have my ink pads arranged by color family in alphabetical order. OCD anyone? Actually, it's pretty pathetic!
Anyway.... I did manage to stamp 9.... let me repeat that.... 9... yes NINE cards this afternoon. Oh... it is a good day when that happens. Rarely do I feel so inspired. For some reason I was on a roll and really needed just to switch off from the week and do something.
Well, I like the cards tonight... I might have a very different feeling about them tomorrow. You know, it's like going to a disco (boy does that word date me!!!) and seeing some guy you fancy and thinking he's rather cute and you agree to meet him for lunch... and... well.... he looked better in the dark strobe lights :-) I'm hoping I don't feel that way about my cards in the harsh coldness of daylight tomorrow :-)
No card tonight - but I did want to share with you my Birthday Bouquet from our dear friend Trish. I decided to show you the picture taken tonight - that is 1 week after the flowers arrived. They are still absolutely gorgeous. Not quite as beautifully arranged as they were, because I had to refresh the water. But you can see the gorgeous pinks, whites, deep pinks and purples of the flowers. A veritable spring feast for the eyes. Not only that - they smelled gorgeous, too and have only just lost their scent.
Trish if you do manage to get to read my blog this weekend - your flowers were beautiful and you managed to stretch my birthday for another week. AND... the flowers still have a few more days to go!
Here's a closeup of one of the beautiful roses and Alstromeria (peruvian Lilies)
How amazing that they are still so fresh and vibrant after a week. Just a little browning on the fern leaf.
Trish - thank you so much. I cannot believe that you thought of me and sent me flowers in the midst of all that you are going through. You truly are amazing.
As you prepare for surgery, keep strong my friend, stay positive. We are all praying for a successful surgery on Tuesday - and for your full recovery.
Have a happy Sunday everyone. Hug someone and tell them you love them. Cherish life.
Hugs
Jaydee

What beautiful flowers! Your kitty is beautiful too--looks like he just wanted some attention and knew exactly how to get it!
I have my stamps arranged how they are listed in the catalog and so now I may have to think about alphabetizing mine. I have my stamps all alphabetized.
Hope you enjoy a great day today-9 cards in one day--that is amazing!
