Milestone 100,000 visitors and Lissie's OWH Showcase
30 July 2010
Hi Everyone. Happy Friday night.
How appropriate that I should be passing such a major milestone in the middle of showcasing the cards that you submitted for the OperationWriteHome card drive. I thought it was fabulous that it happened this way, and it really was unplanned.
So, in honor of my 100,000 visitors since August last year, tonight's post is dedicated to all of you who have participated in our two card drives - and are intending to participate in our current card drive for Holiday cards for the troops.
Lissie is Rach's mom. Lissie and Rach have a stamping blog that they have just started a stamping blog and you can check them out here. In fact, you really need to go and check out Rach's spinner birthday card!
My sincere thanks to Lissie, who sent me cards for the drive when I wasn't expecting them. We can see where Rach got her talent from :-)
Ladies, I present Lissie's cards!
Who said that love cards have to be red? I love this black and white love creation - it's crisp and clean and I love it.
This card is perfection. I hadn't ever seen this set used in such a creative way. But, it made me want to get this punch. What a creative and truly fabulous card!
I love the paper piercing and how it echoes the stem and the outside of the leaves. Love the colors, too!
I love the fact that the giraffe is giving the bird a lift - isn't that the perfect focal point for a thank you sentiment?
Isn't that the truth? Even bad days can, in some small way, provide its own gift!
Ah... Rach was right... this is her mother's set! Missy, you were right, this is Organic Grace and I love this set. What a fabulous card to end up this little showcase. Thank you, Lissie - you rock!
On a personal note: It really has been much cooler today. In fact, it felt quite cold. But what a wonderful relief from the incessant heat. I got to spend a little time in my stamping studio today and have several cards to photograph tomorrow morning. But, I need to do some housework first!
As always, prayers for Trish, Germaine, Pri, T, Arthur, John and Hugo.
Thank you all for spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere - and thank you for helping me to reach this amazing milestone - 100,000 visitors. I really am amazed.
Have a wonderful Saturday. I hope your day is full of love, laughter and life's little gifts.
Hugs
Jaydee
