Happy Wednesday night - or as Cherie would remind us, Happy Hump day. Tomorrow is the official start of my time with my honey! Oh! Yeah! Can't wait. Two who weeks of not rushing to get up in the morning, or work email, or conference calls... oh! bliss!
Tonight's card showcases the fabulous Deck the Halls DSP, a stamp set I got from Flourishes and, of course, the wonderful Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon. Which, I might add, I ran out of unexpectedly on the weekend - right in the middle of a card. aaaarrrrgggh!!!!
When I have used this set before, I have colored the doves in grey. This time, I wanted to capture the warmer tones that the DSP needed. I must admit, I love them in brown!
Aren't those colors gorgeous together?
I mounted the whole thing on the gorgeously, yummy, metallic gold card stock. I love this card stock. It is so amazing to work with and always looks so expensive.
I colored the images with my copic markers. Oh... talking about Copic markers.... thank you to Rebecca... she let me know that she had watched my video and had passed it on to several friends who were hating their copics. After watching my video, apparently they are now hooked. (big smile!) Well, I don't get any commission from Copic - but the feeling of satisfaction is in having successfully inspired someone to actually use the goodies they own.
I know that there are many of us who have goodies that we haven't used... or are just not inspired to use. I try to show you the goodies that I have in multiple ways, with different things, in the hope that you will be inspired to try them out. I remember Ann Marie saying that she was now inspired to use her Because I Care set after I used it on a wedding card recently. I know that Adelle also lets me know when she has tried something that I have done - and Cam created the flower from the flower video.
It really is so satisfying when you are inspired to try something - so thank you to all of you who do let me know. If you are inspired by something that I have shown you in a video - or even on my blog - why not send me a pic and I will feature it on my blog?
On a personal note:
Time with my hubby, priceless! Weather... mmmm.... not so priceless! Mind you, I do like the fact that Charlie (the kitten that Lou found whilst he was out on a ride one summer evening) doesn't have to spend his winter out in the bramble bush next to the road. Heavens knows what would have happened to him, if Lou hadn't found him. We were at the pet store this past weekend. It was adoption day. There are over 300 cats and kittens "in the system" waiting to be adopted. It breaks my heart.
As always, prayers for all of you in need - and those of you who just need a little lift.
Thank you for spending a little time in my area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits, your support and your comments are greatly appreciated.
