Happy Hannukah/Chanukah - Operation Write Home

Hi Everyone.

happy Wednesday.  I hope you are all having a great week.

Some of you may remember that I asked that we include some Hannukah, Kwanzaa, and Spanish language cards for this holiday Operation Write Home card drive.

I made a couple of Hannukah cards.  I wanted to share those with you tonight.  Now, if you want to see some really special Hannukah cards you need to visit next week when I showcase Beth's Operation Write Home cards.  Her cards were amazing.

I decided to use the clean and spare lines of the Israeli flag as my inspiration.  Of course, keeping with the blue and white theme.

On a personal note:  I have two straight weeks alone with my honey... now how cool is that?  It's so rare that we get to spend time together these days.... never mind two whole weeks.  So, I intend to make the absolute most of it!

The outside furniture, the fountain and all other weather sensitive things have been brought into the garage, where they will hibernate for winter.  I must admit.. I am really waiting for that first snow fall.  I always find it exciting.  It really does bring out the childhood wonder for me.  But then... I get the same way when I see my first crocus in spring... and the first sighting of the hummingbird in summer... and the first orange leaf of fall :-)

Prayers tonight for those of you who need a little lift today.

Don't forget - smile at a stranger - it may change their life.

hugs

Hello Jaydee, Love your cards! I have been doing so much better and feeling positive about it. Since you mentioned snow, I made my first snowman at the age of 50! early this year, and everyone laughed as they found it funny, but I loved every second of it! as I felt I was a kid again, as I never got to play with dolls or simply go play when I was a kid! Have a great day all and my thanks to your prayers for me! Have wonderful day Jaydee! enjoy your time! Will be back again soon! Hugs always!

Beautiful cards, your classic Jaydee style is perfect. I'm sure they'll make the sender and recipent feel very special.
Enjoy your two weeks together, hope time goes slowly so you can make the most of it.
Geramine, nice to see you commenting, please feel free to come to Minnesota to make snow man any time in the next 6 months! :) Warm thoughts and prayers to all those in need, and to One & All have a wonderful day!

These cards are so classy! I love them!
Our forecast is for snow tomorrow night! I am not ready for that! Although it does seem there is more time to stamp in winter...

Hi there. I had to chuckle when you said you were waiting for your first snow fall. In Saskatoon, we got ours on Tuesday. We are NOT HAPPY!!!!! For someone who detests snow, and cold, one would wonder why we continue to live in Saskatoon ... I've always envied the people who say "My kids have never seen snow".

Lovely cards.

Love the clean and simple lines of these cards! Beautiful job!
