Prince Charming
01 December 2010
Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday night.
As many of you seemed to enjoy my card from last night - I thought I would share with you the final one in the series from the same set. I used Nance's sketch from the Paper Players challenge last week as my inspiration.
and here's the inside:
I think there are many of us who can relate to the inside:-)
I thought I would share a couple more photographs from our trip to Giverny and Monet's house. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take shots inside the house, or I would have shared those too. The entire dining room was very bright yellow. The reason? To showcase the blue and white crockery that adorns the dining room. It really is a very bright sunshine yellow. It was interesting to see the collections of blue in the house and we all know that Monet loved his blues!
Doesn't this look like a painting?
Some of you may have seen the painting that Monet did featuring two green row boats. Here they are moored beside the lake.
Yep... the sun came out for this shot!
Then there is Monet's house:
Even the front of the house is designed to paint, with wonderful shading and soft, peaceful colors.
and finally, the view from Monet's bedroom. Even the sky had perfect little patches of blue sky - just ready for someone to paint.
Rach, I do hope you get there someday. It was truly wonderful. It's so rare to be able to trace any of the master painter's inspiration like this. Even the little village of Giverny was perfect. I might share a couple of pics of that with you tomorrow. Even the parking lot was beautiful. There was parking for about 12 buses and yet, it was beautifully landscaped and set against a backdrop of old growth trees, all sharing their autumn glory. Pretty perfect, really
Beverly, I hope your day was wonderful and that your workshop went really well. I know your guests will have loved your projects.
Brenda, thank you so much for popping past this morning and for your gift. Brenda, sewed me a gorgeous little tissue holder. When I was out with Brenda and Cherie last week, I was digging around in my bra for tissues! Now, the girls are convinced that in fact I am not well endowed, but stuff my bra with tissues :-) Actually, I can never find them in my handbag(purse) and they fall out of my sleeve... so, I generally tuck my unused tissues in the top of my bra for easy access. With Brenda's home sewn present, I will now be able to behave in a more lady-like fashion by having tissues where they should be... and I will be able to find them in my purse. Not only that, but the color scheme matched my favorite handbag, too!
Cherie, I hope you are enjoying your well deserved week off! And, thank you for your kind comments on my photographs:-)
Continued prayers for Germaine, Arthur, Rose, Pri, Adelle and adding Mary Jo to the list tonight. Prayers also for those who need a lift.
Happy Hannukah to my readers of the Jewish faith.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.
You know I really appreciate the fact that you stop by my blog. I also appreciate your comments.
Hugs
Jaydee
