Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night. I hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Well, it's Saturday night - and you know that means it's the night for my Paper Players card. This week LeAnne has a challenge for us that is perfect for this time of the year. It's a theme challenge. I decided to try a new technique that I first saw on the demo only side of Stampin' Up! It's called the faux mother of pearl technique. It's really cool as the colors change in the light - just as mother of pearl does. It's... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Thursday night. I thought the title of tonight's post was perfect - especially considering what is going on across the pond in good old Blighty tomorrow! Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday night. Very quick post for you tonight. If you haven't gotten the idea that I love the new "The Open Sea" set yet, you might do after you see yet another card made with it! :-) I really do love this set and couldn't wait to try this card that was shown in the Stampin' Up! demo only magazine. The card that I chose as the headliner card for the CAS challenge at the Paper Players last week was yellow, black and white. I never make a card using those colors, but am always inspired when I do. So, I channeled Theresa and... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night. Thanks to all of you who left comments on my Sail Away card last night. It almost didn't sea/see (ha... ha... ha..) the light of day! I really wasn't happy with it until I finished putting it together. At one point I had made up my mind to just finish it because I had putzed around with it so much. But don't you know.... once it was altogether, I decided I really did like it! Saturday is the Paper Players challenge reveal night. This week Lesley has a fabulous sketch for us. Here's the sketch:... Read more →
