Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday!
I hope you are all having a great weekend so far! Quick post for you tonight.
Tonight's card is my creation for the Paper Players challenge this week. Nance has a fabulous sketch challenge for us. I changed it up just a tad. Nance's original sketch was for a circle, I changed it for a rectangle. I am sure she won't mind!
I really wanted to use the "Sail Away" stamp set and it just wouldn't fit into a circle. So, I made mine a rectangle. The two circular elements inspired me to use the compass from "The Open Sea" and a sentiment from "Hodgepodge Happiness".
Here's what I came up with:
Card recipe - all ingredients Stampin' Up!
- Card stock: Naturals White, Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy
- DSP: Nautical Expeditions
- Stamps: Sail Away, The Open Sea, Hodgepodge Happiness
- Accessories: Metallic Brad
- Inks: Going Grey Marker, Night of Navy Marker, Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy inks for the background focal image, Stazon Black for the focal image
- Tools: Square Lattice Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals
Now, don't forget to check out the Paper Players challenge and to join us this week.
I will be back on Monday with a new post. I will be taking a little time off tomorrow to spend with my honey.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I appreciate your visit and I appreciate your comments!
Prayers tonight for those who need a little lift, or a warm hug
Hugs
Jaydee
Jaydee - this is beautiful. I love the blues and the fact that you changed up the sketch to accommodate the image you wanted to use.

Love, love your take on the sketch Jaydee! It's perfect for showing how it can be customized and made your own! Love all the blues and the subtle watercoloring on the sailboat panel. FAB-u-lous masculine card! You're rocking this stamp!

Love it and love the blues! Great job! We are enjoying our 90 day in Ohio . . . woohoo, wish it would stay this way, but rain is in the way for the rest of the week, but suppose to be warm.
Thanks for sharing.

I have to agree with Rach's comment above, the color combo is so calming and peaceful. I just love the texture and the subtle pattern in the DSP. Perfect masculine card. I just love your style, Jaydee. Have a wonderful Sunday with your husband. Hugs! :)
