Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night.
Generally on a Saturday I reveal my Paper Players challenge card. However, this week I am way behind. One of the components of my card is sitting on the edge of my desk covered in Crystal Effects. Now... you all know how long that takes to dry! So, my card will not be ready until tomorrow!
I do have a card for you, however.
As y'all know, I don't use many non-SU stamps, but occasionally there are those that call out to me and I cannot help myself. This particular stamp from Memory Box is one of them. I love the fact that it is fabulous to color. I also love that it has built in background script. I also love that you can do what I did tonight..... stamp it.. then stamp it again, color, snip and mount!
I know you can't really see it, but the right wing of the butterfly is not glued down, which allows it to float just a little. I was really pleased with the way it turned out.
I spent some time on Friday practicing my coloring. I stamped a couple of images several times and then just spent about 3 hours coloring and trying different things to see if any of the changes made a difference. It was astonishing how different the end ones were to those that I colored at the beginning. I can honestly say that I have never sat and practiced before, but I am hoping it is going to pay off in the coming weeks.
On a personal note:
I must admit to being a bit of a royalist. I also admit to being a sucker for a wedding. So, it was delightful to see snippets of the low key affair of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall. I thought she looked gorgeous. Her dress was perfect. She looked healthy, happy and positively glowed. I must admit that I also like Anne, The Princess Royal. She's never been particularly comfortable being the Queen's daughter and she's taken a lot of flack over the year's for not being pretty. Well, I thought she looked fabulous today. Her outfit was really edgy, flattering and absolutely age appropriate. I also love that she turned to the crowd, waved and thanked them for coming. Classy gesture!
Well, I am off to prepare my salad and heirloom tomatoes and quiche for dinner. Oh.. .and feed the furbabies. If I don't they really will call the SPCA.
Back tomorrow with the Paper Players challenge card. It's a theme challenge this week - and you are going to love it.
Before I go... some of you may remember my post about a young lady called Rachel and how her birthday wish to raise money for clean water for children in poor countries turned into a memorial to her life. Well, I am so pleased to report that the $300 amount she was looking for has turned into a veritable tsunami of water. You can check out her new totals right here. What an absolutely amazing story. It's astonishing what one little girl could do. It's also astonishing how amounts of $9 can all add up!
Hugs and prayers for those in need tonight.

Oh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the vibrancy of this card. The colors are stunning. I seem to recall, I love it every time you use this stamp. :o)
I can't believe the totals on Rachel's cause! That is utterly amazing. I pray her family feels the love and prayers of those donating, for they are doing that as surely as they are contributing to their daughter's worthy cause.
