Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday
I hope you are all having a great week so far!
I did manage to make two more cards this weekend. There is a really fun challenge across at alacardmonkey this week. A sketch challenge combined with a theme. I had such fun playing with this!
Isn't that image, cute? Great sketch layout, too.
I decided to do something different for the image and went looking for some digital images that I could use, because I didn't quite have a stamp set that was working for me.
I found a fabulous image across at digistamp boutique. It was absolutely perfect for me - and for this challenge. All I had to do is have some fun coloring in the image and pair it with some Amuse Studio DSP, SU Pool Party textured and plain card stock, a couple of pearls and I was ready to go.
You can't tell me this isn't cute :-)
Pity that my stamp-a-ma-jig moved when I was stamping the sentiment!!!! I have to tell you that I am completely in love with Pool Party as a color. It seems just right for spring.
I know the fabulous team across at alacardmonkey would love it if you visited the challenge and played along.
On a personal note:
We got more boxes packed this weekend. We now have 27 boxes packed. Not much, I know... but it is more than we had on Friday :-) As we will not be visiting the house this weekend, we have much more time to continue to pack and clean things out. It's getting closer and closer and I can feel the stress mounting. However, we know it will absolutely be worth it! Our furniture, however, will not be joining us when we move in. There is approximately a 6-8 week backlog on many of the items we are purchasing because they are not the "stock" fabrics. Now.. that's a great pity, because, of course, I want it all to look nice the minute we move in. :-)
I did promise to share a picture of the bathroom that we had at the hotel last weekend. You might remember that I asked for a room with a bath because I was dusty and tired from wondering around the building site. Well, the nice young lady at reception certainly gave us a room with a bath! Check this out!
Oh... this bathroom was amazing. The bath was a little short in length, but fabulous at the back. The higher back snuggled you and nestled you... and I am completely in LOVE with this bath. Now, I choose a stand alone bath for the new house, but it certainly wasn't pricey like this one! This bath is a Villeroy and Boch bath - this one retails for around 6000 and I promise that as much as I love this bath, we didn't win the lottery this weekend, so I couldn't afford one :-)
Mind you, I wasn't the only one that was a happy camper. Check out this rainshower head
The whole thing was about 18 inches by 12. Lou wouldn't get out of the shower. I swear he had 3 showers between arriving and leaving! The whole room was amazing. We were really lucky that we arrived on a quiet night and got this upgrade. I don't think we will get as lucky again!
I did want to share a picture of the view from our new deck. On Friday we went to the 'Jay and purchased a couple of folding chairs and a table and had a little picnic on our deck. Now.. it was very cold as the sun went down and I decided - for some inexplicable reason - that I wanted an ice drink. Mmmm... not smart. However, the view was worth it
We had great bird viewings and I will share those with you tomorrow night, along with a couple more photos.
As always, thank you for spending a little time in my area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits and your comments really do mean a great deal to me.
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

What an adorable card. Think that's the same look my pups get when they've gotten into something they shouldn't.
What a fantastic bathroom!!! I'd love to move right in. What hotel is that? May need to plan a little in town get away.

Hey, that's my cat on your card! I laughed when I saw the chunk bitten out of the chocolate egg. I love the bright, cheerful colors. Pool Party is one of my favorites too. I love the bathroom - the shower would be my fave! Hope your move goes smoothly.
