Paper Players 100 Blog Hop

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

It's really hard to believe that we at the Paper Players are celebrating our 100th challenge!!!!  It has been an amazing ride and I am so grateful to Lesley for inviting me to join the team way back in June 2010.  I have loved every minute of it.  Lesley, thank you, my friend.  I cannot thank you enough.   Not only did you ask me to be a part of the team, but you introduced me to a fabulous set of fellow crafters that I am so pleased to know - even though most of them are virtual friendships.   Lesley has created a wonderful environment for the design team, and players, and I am so grateful.

I am also grateful to my blog readers who have been along on this journey with me.  Thank you, too.

As it is our 100th challenge, Lesley suggested that each of us choose one of our favorite challenges from the past challenges and redo a card for that challenge.

It was amazing going through all of the challenges and seeing the cards that we had made back in 2010/11!   I choose one of our earlier challenges, the Snowmen challenge - Paper Players Challenge 23.  You can see the original set of design cards and submissions at this link.

For this new take on the challenge, I was compelled to pull out my Snow Much Fun set.   My original card had been a clean and simple card and I decided that this time I would use a few more techniques, fussy cutting (I would never have done that back then!), some glitter, embossing folders, multiple layers and lots of Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here's a closeup of the layers and detail on the card

I went back to the classic Christmas colors of Real Red and Garden Green.  Two different embossing folders and lots of sparkle.  I had such fun making this card.

So, we really hope that you will join us across at the Paper Players and play along with us.  There's lots of choice for you.  You can choose any one of our past theme, sketch, color or inspiration challenges.   I've also created a pdf list of the past challenges to make it easy for you.  All you need to do is download this pdf  Download Challenge list and it has links back to all of our challenges.

Now, on to my card.  I really wanted the snowbanks to have more texture and not be quite as crisply white, so I pulled out some watercolor paper, tore it, add a little sparkle, layered it, with my snowmen between, all add to the depth on the card. The deets for the card are all at the bottom of this blog post

You really need to pop along and check out the other Paper Players blogs to see what they have chosen.  For once, none of us know what each other choose - so it's as much of a surprise for us, as it is for you.  I can't wait to see what they have all done.  Check our their blogs below - and then pop along to the Paper Players and play along.
