Paper Players 101 - Lesley's Sketch Challenge
24 June 2012
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
Lesley has a fabulous sketch for us this week. I know I'm a day late getting it loaded, but I really enjoyed playing with the sketch this afternoon.
I knew that I wanted to pull out my MDS again. I am in love with the SU MDS Ditital Stamp Set called Fantabulous You. It's all sentiments and this sentiment was the reason that I downloaded the set!
Have you ever had one of those days..... you know... when you are at the office/at work/in a meeting - or doing some dreadfully boring chore - and just wishing you could get away from it all? Well, this card is for you!
Isn't that cool? I think its a very funny sentiment! I am in LOVE... yep.. in LOVE with this new Patio Party DSP. I am also in LOVE... yep... IN LOVE with the new In Colors for 2012. Baja Breeze never looked so good as it does with Midnight Muse. It really brings it to life. The little white hearts on the Baja Breeze DSP I think are fabulous.
I decided that even though I wanted a clean card, a little texture was needed. So, I added texture onto each layer with embossing folders - and the top layer with the button and twine.
Don't forget to pop along to the design team sites to check out their fabulous inspiration cards
Vicki (Nance is on vacation!)
Then, don't forget to pop into your craft space, create something using our sketch - and then pop along to the Paper Players to load your card and play along! :-)

On a personal note:
5 whole hours in my stamping room today. It has been FOREVER since I have had chance to do something more than rush in and make a card. I spent a couple of hours last weekend, but not a full stretch like I did today. It was wonderful.
Bailey was being his cutest self yesterday... I have to share a couple of photos:
Yesterday, we brought a few things back from the house, including this basket. I had left it on the stairs along with some other things (like shower curtains, etc.) and went to unpack some more stuff, so that I could take everything up at once. Bailey..... Basket.... the two are synonymous
That's his..... "leave me alone I was sleeping" look! He was not impressed that I had come upon him and taken his picture. He sure is gorgeous.
One more pic for you..... I have only once seen a black squirrel before and that was outside the American Embassy in Toronto. I was amazed when we were visiting the show house in October - just down the road - and saw one in the wetlands. Well, I caught this one on camera a couple of days ago, sharing seed with the chipmunk.
As always, thank you for spending a little time in my area of the stamping blogosphere. I really do appreciate your visits - and your comments!
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. Have a wonderful Monday
Hugs
Jaydee
I am just catching up with the posts in my Reader. The sentiment is just too funny! :)

LOL! Love this sentiment, Jaydee. Your card is a beautiful combination of blues. I can see I must get into my stamp room more often ...

Great card, I love the different layers and the textures on it. Of course the sentiment is wonderful too!!
I used to live in Port Huron, Michigan and black squirrels were the only kind that I remember being there. Port Huron is right across the border from Sarnia, Ontario and we called the black squirrels "Canadian Squirrels"! I don't think we have had black ones any other place we have lived.

Ha! What a fabulous sentiment!! :o) I really love how well the Baja Breeze and Midnight Muse work together. Fabulous color combination.
Ah, Bailey, you gorgeous hunk of felinehood, I dont blame you one bit. I bet that basket is super comfortable. :)
That black squirrel is wonderful! I saw one once along a back road in North Carolina of all places. Hm.
I hope your return to the work week is painless.
Hugs!
P. S. Hiya Lou! :o)
