Love how you used the vellum over the butterflies! Thanks for joining us this week over at CAS-ual Fridays!

Virginia L.

Love your butterfly card! Simply lovely in every way! The photos of the little animals make me happy! So glad that you play with us at CAS-ual Fridays!

I do so love it when you use butterflies--butterflies and snowmen. ;o) I love the simplicity of this card and the use of the vellum to soften it and make it more subtle. Just lovely. :o)

Ah, rain. I wish. No rain here. I've had to get out and water water water as we're approaching 100 again today. I told B he MUST remember to water my plants whilst the girls and I are in TN and he told me not to worry he had Holly on it. ;oP Er, she likes to play in the water far too much--I fear she'd become distracted from her task. ;o)

The bluebird is utterly delightful. I'm always so chuffed when I see them around our feeder. And the deer are so lovely. :o) I took my morning walk around the nature trail this morning and spotted three deer and two bunnies.

I read about your grasses and landscaping issues. Oh no! I hope everything is resolved quickly!

Lou, I hope you are enjoying your travels. B and Jess's husband Bob swear it's nothing but painful, but I *dream* of a hotel room by myself with nothing to do but read and sleep. :oP

Jaydee, this is CAS perfection! Simple and elegant! And the tag is beautiful! Fabulous projects!

Gorgeous photos...thank you so much for sharing them. I love the way you layered the vellum on top of the patterned paper to give it a softer feel. Thanks so much for playing with us at CAS-ual Fridays!

Bluebirds and white-tailed deer, how lovely. I've only seen a couple of bluebirds in my life and that was a thrill.

We raised a fawn when I was six. She was found abandoned (the people thought, probably mistakenly) and we were the only farmers around who had milk cows, so they brought Lightning to us. She was a darling little pet who grew up to completely reintegrate into the wild.

The most astounding story has to do with hunting season. My parents were quite worried about her, as by then she was spending much of her time in the bush. They needn't have been concerned, however; on the first day of hunting season she came back into our yard and didn't leave until the season was over. How did she know?
