Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
Ann has a fabulous sketch for us for the Paper Players Challenge #114. I had such fun playing with this challenge that I actually made 2 cards!
I really wanted to make a Halloween card and decided that I should use MDS and create multiple elements, cut them out, and create a hybrid card. I love the fact that MDS is so flexible, but don't really like creating an MDS only card as it is too flat for me. Great for sending through the mail... but, I like the to glue and ink things :-)
I used Piece of Poison for the Sentiment and the large spider. I used Sophisticated Spooks for the background and vertical elements.
Here's what I came up with
I really love this Sophisticated Spooks kit and it was so easy to size the background layer and then size the vertical layers. Printing them out and cutting them was really easy, too! I glued the vertical layers to the background and the Sahara Sand matt to the black matt. The focal element was attached via dimensionals. I ran the focal layer over the edge of my Sahara Sand ink pad to add some distressing and to stop that layer being too white.
I do hope that you will join the Paper Players this week. You can check out the great inspiration cards from the design team
Yikes! Spidery and spooky...and a perfect Halloween card! I LOVE the spiderweb and the spider paper!

Great design Jaydee! I'm trying not to look too long at that spider as I'm a bit petrified of them lol! Funny how even on paper they spook me..!

Great use of MDS, Jaydee! I just downloaded that kit this week and I love how you've used the spider paper! Love the swipe of your ink pad on the focal point--great touch!
