Hi Everyone
Happy Tuesday. I hope you are all having a great week so far. We certainly are!
I was inspired by Ann's great sketch for the Paper Players this week and decided to make another Halloween card using the sketch.
One of the latest SU My Digital Studio releases is the Sophisticated Spooks. I saw this great image of the witch in it and decided that would be the focal point for me card. Instead of using cardstock, I pulled out the black lace ribbon from last year and used that as the elements behind the focal point. I also turned the sketch on its side for this card.
A few black pearls and basic rhinestones were all that was needed to dress up the card. I really do love the way the head of the witch is composed of so many different elements.
Don't forget to join us at the Paper Players this week.
On a personal note:
2nd day of vacation and it's great to be able to relax and have fun. We have shopped until we dropped, we have enjoyed the fabulous produce available from the St Paul Farmer's Market and we have enjoyed the migrating birds from our deck. Also, John has helped Lou get some tasks completed - like hanging the 50# mirrors, putting up shelving in the guest bedroom walk-in and they have also walked the wetlands and enjoyed being outdoors. At night, we have enjoyed catching up sitting around our dinette table. It's been marvelous! We did take Pam and John to the Mall of America and they were both suitably impressed. :-)
I'll be back tomorrow with a Christmas card. In the meantime, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Very spooky but cool looking card. Sounds like you are enjoying your time off.
Just a reminder, could you drop me an email with the address to send OWH cards to? Thanks.
