Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night.
It's my pleasure to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a sketch challenge for you. It's the kind of sketch that you can keep CAS, or embellish to your hearts content. Me... I kept it pretty clean and simple.
I love the Watercolor Winter set from SU, but generally end up using the poinsettia stamp. This time, I decided to focus on the holly stamp and combine it with one of my favorite sentiments from the Bright Christmas set.
Here's the sketch:
I stamped the image repeatedly onto Very Vanilla card stock, turning the stamp at a different angle each time. This allowed me to fill up the focal image area without masking. I then colored the leaves and the berries with my Copic markers. I know you can't see it, but I did use a red Spica glitter pen on the berries to give it a little sparkle.
I used dimensionals to place the focal image layer onto a piece of metallic gold. Dimensionals were used again to add the layered focal image onto Cherry Cobbler card stock. I ran the Cherry Cobbler front panel through my Big Shot using one of my new embossing folders. A little gold elastic cord was all that I needed to finish off the card. I still haven't decided whether the cord adds value or not! By the time I had vacillated for about 10 minutes, it was too late to go back! So, the elastic cord stayed!
We hope that you will play along with us this week. Don't forget to check out the fabulous cards from the design team. They really have another wonderful set of inspiration cards for you.
As always, thanks for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a lift tonight.
Have a wonderful Sunday
Hugs
Jaydee

Really pretty....I love the "stamping, stamping, stamping", as Linda C calls it, on the main panel...very pretty and a wonderful sentiment too!
