Belated Merry Christmas
Happy New Year

Joyeux Noel

Hi Everyone

Well, I must admit I am still in the Christmas spirit.  Tonight's post is all about that!

Firstly, I wanted to let all the winners of the Enchanted Makeover blog candy that their winnings are in the post!  Thank you again to all of you who sent cards in for the drive.  Terri, who started Enchanted Makeovers, sent me an email and a letter asking me to send along thanks to the "angels who helped create these gorgeous cards" and to let you know that she greatly appreciated your support.  Your support of my card drives is really what the spirit of Christmas is all about - giving!

Now onto a card.   I made this card as our set of Christmas cards for this year.  I used a Papertrey Ink stamp set called Layered Postcards for the Star.  Cutting around it with a pair of paper snips was a breeze.  Of course, I absolutely had to pull out my SU metallic gold card stock.  I love this stuff!  I paired it with Very Vanilla card stock and some glimmer brads and gold embossing powder.

On Boxing Day (December 26th to my American readers!), Lou and I were out doing some chores in the evening and noticed Father Christmas on top of a house in an adjacent neighborhood.  Of course, we absolutely had to go check it out!

We call this the Santa House!  If you look at the top right of the pic you will notice the santa and his sleigh - and a chimney on top of the house.   The display was animated and Santa would jump up and out of his sleigh, run across the top of the roof and disappear down the chimney!  It was AWESOME!

Then we noticed Golfing Santa with his little elves!

Then, there was Harley Santa!

Then.. we noticed that there were so many other little details, too.  Like the little row of Santa stockings.  The snowflakes from the eaves (which I absolutely LOVE by the way!) There were also discrete displays of ornaments and other things, just to keep things interesting.  I loved this display.  It was bright and cheerful and beautifully done.   On a whim, I decided to open the car window and, yes, he was quietly playing Christmas music!

I'll close out with a photo of some of our Christmas Day visitors.

It started with one of the females... Lou noticed that she was in our woodland pawing at the ground.  Once she was happy that the snow was removed, she settled down for a rest.  About 10 minutes later we looked again and there were 6 does all settled down in little patches of sunlight across the woodland.   Now that made us smile!

As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere.  I hope you had a wonderful Saturday.  Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight

Hugs

Jaydee
