Merry Monday #47
28 January 2013
Hi Everyone.
Quick post for you tonight.
The fabulously talented Lesley has a great tic tac toe challenge for Merry Monday this week.
I went with the middle column. I mean... whenever have you known me to walk away from "coloring with markers"!:-)
It was also a great opportunity for me to use a new stamp that Lou bought me. Yep, you read that right! Lou was down in Oz just before Christmas, driving down a highway, and looked across and saw a shop that said "Stamp It" in a strip mall. Immediately he had finished going where he was going... he made a beeline for the shop on his way back to town and bought me a few stamps. Now, I have to tell you, I think that's an awesome hubby!
The stamps all had an Australia theme and this one melted my heart! I stamped the image onto Whisper White card stock and colored it using my Copic markers. I used my SU embossing folder to dry emboss the background layer. The hats, scarves and pressies were colored using Red and Green. That made up the three requirements for the tic tac toe.
Here's my card:
Now, don't you think that's cute? I do:-) I love the Koala and love the movement the stamp creates with the images appearing in different corners of the square. The snowflakes on the dry embossed background help to reinforce the feel of Christmas. the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and was perfect for the image.
As usual, the Merry Monday's design team have some fabulous inspiration cards to share you with. Check it out - and play along!
As always, thank you for visiting! Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
