Love Potion for Paper Players Challenge #130
You're my sunshine, my only sunshine

Merry Monday #47

Hi Everyone.
Quick post for you tonight.

The fabulously talented Lesley has a great tic tac toe challenge for Merry Monday this week.

Sketch 47
I went with the middle column.  I mean... whenever have you known me to walk away from "coloring with markers"!:-)

It was also a great opportunity for me to use a new stamp that Lou bought me.  Yep, you read that right!  Lou was down in Oz just before Christmas, driving down a highway, and looked across and saw a shop that said "Stamp It" in a strip mall.   Immediately he had finished going where he was going... he made a beeline for the shop on his way back to town and bought me a few stamps.  Now, I have to tell you, I think that's an awesome hubby!

The stamps all had an Australia theme and this one melted my heart!  I stamped the image onto Whisper White card stock and colored it using my Copic markers.  I used my SU embossing folder to dry emboss the background layer.  The hats, scarves and pressies were colored using Red and Green. That made up the three requirements for the tic tac toe.

Here's my card:

Koala christmas

Now, don't you think that's cute?  I do:-)  I love the Koala and love the movement the stamp creates with the images appearing in different corners of the square.   The snowflakes on the dry embossed background help to reinforce the feel of Christmas.  the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and was perfect for the image.

As usual, the Merry Monday's design team have some fabulous inspiration cards to share you with.  Check it out - and play along!

As always, thank you for visiting!  Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

These little guys make me giggle! How fun! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday, Jaydee!

Okay, Lou's a keeper--not that I didn't already think that, mind you, with all the animal rescuing and painting and closet fixing he's done. ;o)

This is SUCH a cute image! I have a friend in Oz, and Christmas is so different with it being all summery there. But, you get to have fun images of koalas peeking in widows. ;o)

Have a wonderful evening and day tomorrow!
Hugs!

P.S. Hiya Lou! :o)

Lou is the best husband. I don't know many men that would make an effort to stop on their own to buy stamps. Mine will go with me but he is always looking at his watch. Love the koala bear and what you did with him. Pam

Too cute, Jaydee! What a fun stamp set but I have to say that Lou gets major brownie points because he shops for stamps while he travels. What a keeper! How wonderful to have some new stamps to play along with, too. Those little guys are so fun! :)

Doris D.

Way to go Lou! What a husband. The card is so cute and I love the images.

Beth Rigden

Yay Lou! Good job!
What a cute card-it is sure to put a smile on someone's face.
Very creative challenge too!

Wonderful card, these little koalas are so darn cute. Thank you for joining us for Merry Monday.

Terri

What a fun card. Better story about how you got the stamp - kudos to Lou, my goodness! Super cute card, and really fabulous colouring with markers. To tell the truth, I had to look twice to see what was coloured, it is so well done. Sorry you are still stuck in the deep freeze; I can shiver right along with you as today it was a balmy -28 with a windchill of
-43 - we have had snow since the end of October and all I can say is ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!

P.s. just caught up on my lurking at the rest of your posts and love your couch.

Adorable stamps = very fun Christmas card. The koala images are so, so cute! And your husband is Prince among men (in my humble opinion :-D), you lucky woman!!

Sherry Eckblad

Oh I love your card and those sweet images you used are just adorable. Thanks for joining us this week at Merry Monday.

Deanna Jean

The koalas are darling, I love the water-colored tints, but most of all I like the twist of how 'jolly' Christmas sounds! Good choice, Lou. Good job, Jaydee!
