Ears to you for FabFridays and blog candy alert
25 February 2013
Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.
Fabfridays have a great color challenge going on at the moment. I looked at the colors and immediately thought of spring.
I think it's a great color scheme and knew what I wanted to make with it. I decided to have a little fun with Ears to You, but, because I am such a literal person, I had issues making the bunnies any other color than the ones they are in real lift. But, then again, bunnies don't have patterns on their coats either, so I decided I had to get over it and have some fun :-)
Here's what I came up with:
The one thing I absolutely had to do? Give them eyes! I know... I know... but they just looked odd without them. :-) Isn't it a great color combo though?
You know the drill... pop along to fabfridays and check out the fabulous design team and submission cards to get some inspiration - and maybe play along, too!
On a personal note:
No sign of our visitor last night. I'm hoping he didn't get scared off by the fact that he saw us through the office window. Also, they started to dig the foundations for the house on the plot next to us today. Because the ground is frozen they really had to do some major drilling and digging out. they are building a nearly 6,000 square foot house... Yep, it's enormous! So, it's a pretty big hole they had to dig. The cul de sac is going to be very busy over the next few months and the tranquility of the day will be taken over by the sounds of building all the way through spring and summer. I'm hoping that kitty didn't get scared off by those activities, too.
Now, I have a little blog candy to add to the others that I've already packed up ready to send out.
What do you have to do for the blog candy and what is it? I know those are the questions on your mind. Well, I thought we should have a little fun. Some of you will remember the fabulous stamp that Lou bought me when he was in Oz... the Emu... if you don't remember, you can check it out on this post. Because it is such a fun stamp, I thought it deserved some fun sentiments. Now, I can see it being used for all sorts of things, so I am looking for some inspiration from you, my lovely blog readers.
All you have to do is leave me a message with a suggested sentiment. It can be any sentiment, one from an existing stamp set you own, one you have made up, one your DD/DS/DH/SIL/FIL/MIL thought of for you. It can be funny, sarcastic, sentimental - anything! I will draw a winner from the suggestions and the winner will get a My Favorite Things die. The die is called mini rolled roses... there's a pic of these dies below. Cute, huh?
I'll be accepting comments through Saturday and can't wait to hear what suggestions you have.
As always thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. You know your visits and your comments are much appreciated.
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
