Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday. Retrosketches has a great challenge this week. As it is their one year anniversary the challenge is to use any one of their sketches from the last 52. I had seen this one recently and had wanted to play with it, but only saw the sketch about two weeks after the challenge. When I saw the challenge this week, well, it was my opportunity to finally use it! I really think it is such a cool sketch. I wanted to keep with the floral theme, but go in a different direction. I pulled out a Christmas... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. There's a great challenge across at cas-ual fridays this week. So, who didn't immediately think of the Lone Ranger and starting humming along :-) I know I did. Well, let me see. A clean and simple card and an opportunity to use some silver glimmer paper.... that was a challenge I couldn't pass up. Here's what I created A silver wedding anniversary card. I was really pleased with how it turned out. I really love the white with the touch of black and the glimmer of the silver paper. On a personal note: Don't forget that... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. Fabfridays have a great color challenge going on at the moment. I looked at the colors and immediately thought of spring. I think it's a great color scheme and knew what I wanted to make with it. But, then again, bunnies don't have patterns on their coats either, so I decided I had to get over it and have some... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. Hope you are having a great weekend. I got some playtime in my crafting room today and managed to make three cards for CAS challenges. I saw this great sketch across at cas(e)thissketch. I loved that it could be turned horizontal or vertical. Once I had decided on a vertical image I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use. It was one of those that fell into my basket whilst visiting a store recently! Well, actually, that's only partly true! It was also a set that was used on the CAS2 onlinecard class that... Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. It's my pleasure to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a sketch for you. I spent 4 hours pfaffing around trying to make a card. I swear, my crafting desk looked like my crafting cupboard had exploded all over it! I started 4 cards and didn't finish one of them. I had 8 different DSP's on my desk. 5 different stamps. A plethora of card stock... it was an absolute mess. I have no idea what happened! In the end, I packed everything away, cleared my desk and went and had some... Read more →
