Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. The card I made today was for two challenges. The sketch is from the talented team across at casethissketch and the technique is from the fabulous Cath at Moxie Fab World. Here are the challenges. You can click on the jpegs and they will take you to the respective challenges. I love this sketch and think it will become one of my go to favorites. I was fascinated by the idea of an ombre card that wasn't the usual vertical or horizontal gradation. I thought about how I could do something different and then noticed a... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. Firstly, thank you to all of you who left messages or sent me emails wishing me a happy birthday. It really meant a great deal to me and I really appreciated it! Lou and I had a great chef's tasting dinner at a restaurant down in Minneapolis and it was fabulous. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and chilling. It's the fabulous Anne Marie's turn to host the Paper Players sketch this week and it's a great sketch! However, when there is a sketch challenge, I find myself looking for a little inspiration and... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday. Today is my birthday and Lou and I are getting ready for a night on the town, so this will be a very quick post. I'm also dedicating this card, that I made using the sketch from unscriptedsketches, to my dear friend Pammie. Pammie has been my friend for over 50 years and surely deserves this fabulous sentiment! Pammie, I cannot thank you enough for all you do, and for all you have done for me! I love you, girlfriend! Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone. I will be back on Friday with another card. Warm hugs... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. Another quick post for you tonight. It's already way past 7pm and I haven't finished work yet. I broke to feed the pussycats, before they phoned the SPCA, and to do my blog post. The challenge across at less is more this week is to FRAME IT! I had this idea to create a card for a little boy with a cut out frame on the front and the "out of this world" set. I really do think this is such a cute set for boys, and the addition of the cut out at the front,... Read more →
Hi Everyone. I have a quick card and post for you tonight. I saw another fabulous inspiration card from the talented Julie Ebersole across at casestudy. You can check out her card here. I really liked the use of the cutouts, the butterflies and the paint spatter effect. I decided take all three of those elements into my card. I pulled out my new hello die and paired it with the butterfly paper from the Patio Party DSP. It was also a great excuse to pull out my markers and spray tool. Here's what I created. There really are some... Read more →
