Hi everyone... I bet that's a question that has crossed a few minds these last few days?
So, I thought I had better pop in and give you a very quick update on why I haven't posted.
Well, I am recovering from Lyme Disease. I contracted it via a tick bite about 14 days ago and spent most of the past 10 days fighting a 100 degree temperature, screaming headache, fever, chills, stiff neck, lack of appetite, extreme fatigue and a few other things. On Friday I finally went to the doctor and we worked out the cause of all of these symptoms. Dr put me onto antibiotics and I finally starting to feel somewhat like myself.
On Saturday I couldn't even get my head off the pillow or get myself out of bed. My fever was around 103 and I was hallucinating -and it was pretty bad. I spent 36 hours straight in bed getting up only to feed the cats. I couldn't even feed myself. (Can you hear that I was feeling sorry for myself:-).... )
Luckily the antibiotics have kicked in and each day a symptom either disappears, or starts to ease dramatically. Needless to say, I haven't been near email, my craft room- heck I hardly even made it into the kitchen! Of course, Lou is in Asia (he left Saturday), so I'm left to my own devises and it's been a pretty tough few days. Especially as I have HAD to work and getting through work every day has been very difficult.
When I get back on line properly at the end of the week, I'll tell you what a Crane called Niles had to do with all of this :-)
In the meantime, I hope you are all having a fabulous week and thank you for your patience. I'll be back on Saturday with - hopefully - my Paper Players card :-)
Warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift.
Hugs
Jaydee
Jaydee, I'm so sorry to hear of your illness. I've been at Cub Scout with my kids all week and not online. Bless your heart! I don't know how you managed to work under these circumstances, holy moly. Prayers for continued recovery. SO happy you know the source and disease, that can be a tricky one to diagnose. Take care of you~

Jaydee, I hope your strength is returning, and that your energy is improving. I bet if you told Lou you needed him, he would come home. Please know that we all care and are sending love and healing thoughts your way.

Oh my gosh Jaydee I'm so sorry to hear how sick you've been. And not having anyone there to take care of you, that's awful! If you were nearby I'd come bring you a pot of chicken soup! Please take care of yourself and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hugs :) Sandy

Jaydee, it's so good to hear your "voice". I can't believe that darn tick had the nerve to give you Lyme's disease!! I wish I was there to help you but so glad that the ABs have kicked in and you are (slowly) on the mend. Big Hugs!!

What a mess to be in when you are alone. You must get friendly with neighbors so someone will know what's going on. If you were next door to me, I'd be right over. Lyme is a messy disease but can be controlled. You are so brave. Know my prayers are with you.

Oh my goodness, Jaydee! I thought you had gotten bogged down with work or some such. I confess, if you hadn't posted today, I was going to do a welfare check email on you. Lyme Disease is SO serious! I'm so glad they've gotten to the bottom of it and the antibiotics are starting to kick in.
How awful all around.
And, yet, you are maintaining your sense of humor. A crane named Miles--indeed. :oP *snort* HA!
Please know I'm praying for you.
Hugs!
P.S. Wishing you safe travels home, Lou!

Wow this is one tick bite I do not ever want to happen to me. I live in RI and it is almost something no one here wants. My Dad got it many years ago. Stay safe and get well soon!
