Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night.
The fabulous Anne Marie has a great challenge at the Paper Players for us this week and I had such fun making my card for this challenge!
As I am still making a few last minute cards for the OWH card drive, this challenge couldn't have been more perfect. As I was sorting through the cards this week, I realized that I had not done enough cards for kids, so decided to have some fun!
I'd bought a new set from Simon Says Stamp especially for the OWH card drive, but had forgotten about it. Now, I bet you've never bought a stamp and forgotten about it have you? Please tell me I'm not the only one who has goodies that she's forgotten about :-)
As I was going to be using Copics to color the image, I stamped the animals onto x-press it card stock and got to work. Here's what I came up with:
Of course, the cat had to be a ginger cat and the dog on the right just looked like a weimeraner, so he had to be grey. Once I had finished coloring it, I felt it needed just a little depth, so re-stamped the cat, colored it and popped him up on the original image using dimensionals.
I then cut the image out into the shape of a tag and cut out a backing in Real Red. I knew I wanted it to be on a white base, but felt it needed just a little something. A snowflake embossing folder was exactly what I needed.
All that was left to was to add the ribbon, a button. I took some of the tartan ribbon and shredded it with my fingers and fed it through the button. Although you can't see it, I finished off the eyes and noses with a little gel roller to make them shine.
Of course, I had to add a little something to the inside! :-)
I was really pleased with the final result. It might be clean and simple, but it certainly took me a while to finish it!
Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspiration from the design team:
We'd also love it if you would play along with us this week!On a personal note:
Now that I have finished my Paper Players card, I need to go work on finishing up some of the cards for the OWH card drive.
As always, thank you for your visit - and for your comments. Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
I'll be back tomorrow with some more OWH submission teaser cards.
Hugs
Jaydee

This is darling, Jaydee! Love those critters--their expressions are priceless. Great idea to pop up the orange kitty--the perfect touch. Love that you finished the inside too and that sentiment is awesome!

What a fun and happy card! I love the critters and how the kitty has some dimension. I'll have to try to include a few cards for kids in the next drive. Oh and, yes, I have some stamp sets that haven't seen any ink yet as well. I just located two of them as I was preparing for OWH!

Your card reminds me of dressing our dog when we were KIDS! Isn't it funny how a CAS card can sometimes take a lot of effort. It was worth it, Jaydee- cute, cute, cute!

Love, love, love this card. It is adorable and even though I am trying to curb my addiction, I think I'll get it. I have at least a draw full of unused stamps that I've forgotten about.
Have a wonderful afternoon.
