Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night. It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and she has a great theme for us. Now, evergreen can, of course, mean trees/forests, etc. But it can also mean enduring, "perennially fresh", flowers that bloom all year. I decided that the one thing that remains perennial in our woodland are the birch trees. We don't have many, but their white bark is prominent in the landscape all year, even when everything else has lost its leaves. When I saw this die from Taylored Expressions, I knew that I wanted to... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Friday. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. In this post I promised a little blog candy for the person who a) correctly guessed my new anniversary present and b) provided an answer that made me LOL. Now, many of you had great guesses, but only one was correct. Mind you, you did give me some fabulous ideas of what I might want to ask Lou to buy me for Christmas and my upcoming birthday. Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday night. I'm feeling a little deja vu tonight. I actually did a blog post last night, but, inexplicably, it disappeared and I didn't realize it hadn't posted until this morning! So, here's my redux Monday night post from memory! No, and, no and no, was my reply. He was a little astounded 'cos I really am crazy about shoes and handbags. So,... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. I hope you have all had a great weekend and, for those of you in the USA, are ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend! I checked out the challenge at FestiveFriday today and found the perfect inspiration for a card. Peace is such a great trigger word and I was also inspired by the bright red color. I had this idea in my head to create a craft and cherry cobbler card using a couple of new dies. Whilst I was sorting out my craft room, I found two embossing folders from SU that I never... Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. It's my turn to host the challenge at the Paper Players this week and I thought it might be fun to do something other than a rectangular card! For some reason I seem incapable of doing anything other than a rectangular card.... I rarely do square and I almost NEVER do a round card. So, here's the challenge for this week: You really have to check out the amazing cards the Design Team came up with. There really is some fabulous inspiration for you, and I really hope you will play along with us. There are... Read more →
