What an extraordinary man Nelson Mandela was and continues to be in our memories. I am so grateful for you sharing your moving tribute. My prayer is that South Africa continues to follow on the path he used his life to set in place.

A wonderful tribute, Jaydee. Thank you for sharing it. Lessons from President Mandela can and should be learned my all humans.

Warm thoughts and hug to you and your husband.

Bev Gomez

I also mourn with you and may we all learn from his loving behavior. Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blog. Peace, Bev

I so appreciated your unique and lovely perspective, though it started my tears flowing again! My father died two years ago at the age of 95, and in his dignity and example of love and incredible forgiveness, my dad reminded me of Nelson Mandela. For them both, I had hoped for more than 95 years, though I know that is a long life-span. . . .

Thank you, Jaydee, for sharing this very personal perspective. It really makes the story come alive.

Thanks for sharing, I too admire that wonderful man. He LIVED a life worth emulating and always remembering. Very sad he has passed but at 95, he was ready. Now we all must continue his legacy and pass it down to our next generation and the one after for them to pass it on when we die, and when they die, it should always continue! Blessings and prayers for God's comfort on his family.

A Beautiful Tribute; what an amazing man. R.I.P. Nelson Mandela

Dear Jaydee:

A beautiful hommage to President Mandela . . . more than a President a great man!

May he rest in peace.

All my love to you and my sympathy flies to South Africa.

Marina . . . from far Africa.

A beautiful tribute, Jaydee. It brought fresh tears to my already saddened eyes. Hugs to you, my friend.

Kelly W.

Beautiful tribute to an amazing gentleman.

Oh, Jaydee, this is beautiful. You lived it. You were there. Incredible.

I broke down in tears yesterday when the news came in he had died. While it's not unheard of for a gravely ill 95 year old man to pass away, it was still such a shock to me. This man not only survived, but LIVED. How odd that he should die.

I mourn with you.
