Joyeux Noel
24 December 2013
Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
As I write this blog post, I look out of the window and see snowflakes gently falling. I cannot remember the last time it snowed on Christmas Eve. It's wonderful!
What is also wonderful is finally being on vacation. I've written my last email, created my last presentation, answered as many questions as I can, and, more importantly, powered down my work PC. Finally, I am able to sit back and relax!
This past week has been hectic: what with trying to get so many projects and things finished at work; Lou being away; trying to get the house in order; shopping for presents; trying to decide what to cook for Christmas lunch.... oh... and trying to fit in a year's worth of dates into a few days. Lou and I tried to make up for the many dates that he has missed this year by going to movies, the theatre and dinner. It's been a whirlwind of activity, but absolutely fabulous. However, I am looking forward to just being home tomorrow to celebrate Christmas quietly with those you love.
Of course, I haven't had a chance to get anywhere near my crafting space this past week. In fact, this is the first time I have even been in the room. I swear that there are things in hear moaning and groaning at me because they have been sadly neglected! I think my goodies are going to do a "Nutcracker" and come out after mid-night and make use of each other so that they won't feel so neglected! :-)
I did want to share a card with you that I made a couple of week's ago. I used the Smoky Slate card stock, which I love, I might add, and some silver embossing powder. As the world is looking so spectacularly wintery, I thought it was a good card to share with you on Christmas Eve
I needed to make the trees pop a little and Basic Gray was much too dark, so I used a blending tool and some Smoky Slate ink to color the background. All that was left to do was to add some silver glimmer snowflakes and a little Basic Rhinestone.
I'll be back tomorrow to wish you all a Merry Christmas. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
