Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
It's the fabulous Anne-Marie's turn to host at the Paper Players this week and she has a challenge that is as sweet as she is!
Now, I have to tell you, I was a little scared of this challenge, but I need not have been! I realized that I had my ever faithful My Digital Studio to save the day. Oh! I also have my new Silhouette Cameo, and that helped me to add a little twist to the challenge.
Firstly, let's start with the card. I opened up My Digital Studio and used a cupcake digital image that I had purchased and downloaded a couple of years ago. I print that out a couple of different times onto card stock and colored it with my Copic Markers. I added some shimmer and shine with a gelly roller (although you can't see it here)! I printed out the sentiment from My Digital Studio onto card stock and then paired it with some retired Gingham Garden DSP. I mounted the sentiment panel onto the DSP layer with double sided tape and then mounted the cupcake on top of that - also with some double sided tape.
As it was dark by the time I finished, I couldn't get an outside shot, so had to make do with my new photo box and I just cannot seem to get the lighting right! Anyway, here's the card:
Of course, I had to do the inside to match the outside. I've been very conscious of this since I attended the onlinecardclasses Insider class!
I printed out the inside sentiment panel onto Whisper White card stock and colored the cupcake to match the outside. I love the "my little cupcake" sentiment!
Then, as Lou was out doing some food shopping, I asked him to pop into the bakery section and purchase a little cupcake for me. He came back with this beauty:
Of course, it need a little home! So, I purchased a fabulous Cupcake Box download from Silhouette and cut it out on some retired 12x12 textured SU card stock. I then took some of the matching Gingham Garden DSPs and created a pattern on the outside.
Here's the Cupcake in it's box:
And, here is the cupcake in it's box all wrapped up with a little bit of love. To finish off the box, I added the other cupcake that I had printed and colored onto the outside of the box, popped up with some double sided tape.
So, considering I was worried about this challenge because of the food theme, I was pretty impressed with all that I managed to accomplish thanks to some ink, some DSP, some fussy cutting, My Digital Studio and my Silhouette!
We hope that you will join us and play along this week. Don't forget to stop by the Paper Players design team blogs and check out the FABULOUS projects they have for you this week. They REALLY went to town.
I hope to be back with another project for you tomorrow. However, it took me so long to do today's projects that I didn't get to make anything else! Hopefully, I will get into my stamp room tomorrow so that I can show my stamps and inks a little more love.
In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
Card recipe:
Not only did you make an adorable card but you threw in that gorgeous cupcake for good measure! Love the cute gift box, too. I think I need to break down and purchase a Silhouette. Hope you are staying warm up north, my friend. Big hugs! :)

Oh how utterly adorable! I always say anything in miniature is far cuter than the full-sized (I'm looking at you size 5 shoes versus those big ol' size 9 boats I have to get), hence, cupcakes are far cuter than full-sized cakes.
I love that little cupcake and the card and box to match. :o)
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! :o)

Absolutely adorable. What a lot of time that must have taken. You are so creative.
More snow here in CT today but the yard is beautiful. We pull the feeder into the porch so the birds will be more comfortable eating. Are we bird nuts? YES! Also the hawks can't get at them on the covered porch.

Great projects, Jaydee! I love the cute little cupcake on both the card and the box, and I love how the box opens up to heart shaped flaps! Sweet! Oh, and I love gingham, too!
