Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
Hope you are all having a great weekend and staying warm!
It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's a CAS challenge. Right up my alley!
I needed a Valentine's Day card for Lou and knew that it was time to pull out a Simon Says Stamp Stars stencil and some of my new gold Embossing Paste. I combined that with the gold, black and white color scheme from the casestudy challenge last week and finished it off with a sentiment from the Papertrey Ink Star Gazer additions stamp set.
here's my card:
I love the little touch of Stampin' Up! gold specialty paper. It's a little cooler than the embossing paste, but I think it still works. The sentiment is perfect for the gold stars :-) Happy Valentine's Day, Lou!
As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration projects for you. Don't forget to visit their blogs and then join the Paper Players and show us your stars CAS projects.
On a personal note:
I got to spend a little time in my crafting space today, but only made 2 cards! Mmm... I think I am going to have to move things along a little faster tomorrow :-) Do you ever have those days where things just don't seem to turn out the way you see them in your mind? That's certainly how it was for me today. It took me for ever to make a card and when I had finished it, it wasn't right. I then putzed around playing with background paper and shimmer mist to try to emulate the look and feel of Venetian paper. It was rally fun playing and I'll be sharing it with you later this week.
As always, thank you so much for your visit and your comments. They really do mean a great deal to me. I'll be back with another card tomorrow. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

What a beautiful CAS card and love the sentiment; it's short, sweet and to the point.
Adding a couple cents worth here to each and everyone of you.
good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them,
but you know they're always there.
Everyone; enjoy your day and make the most of it.

Struggling in the stamping space? Never.
I lie, of course. ;oP Don't we all have those moments and days? It's been so long since I've been in my stamping space, I fear my mojo has run away. :oS
I hope spring is on its way to find you. I'm seeing glimmers and peeks of it here!
Hugs!
P.S. Howdy Lou! :o)

Wow, how perfect this is for the challenge, Jaydee! Nice and CAS, and that gold embossing paste: how cool! That's a product I've yet to try but you used it brilliantly and paired it with the perfect sentiment. Hugs!
