Happy Day for Casethissketch
Hello - Paper Players #184

Sunshine day for cas-ual fridays

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

Well, we might be in the middle of winter, but tonight's card will hopefully hep to brighten your day.  It certainly brightened mine making it.

I had such fun playing with a stencil and some Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry ink!  I got a new Tim Holtz rainbow stencil and was daying to use it.  I found a challenge across at cas-ualfridays which fit the idea I had going around in my head.  Here's the challenge:

The challenge is to make a card that is long - and also celebrates the great job the current design team have done; the twist was a farewell card.  I dealt with that inside my card!

I had to play around by moving the stencil and coloring with the different colored inks, but I think the little time I spent doing that was certainly worth it.  I was really happy with this one layer card.

Here's the outside:

Sunshine day

Now... didn't that bring a little ray of sunshine to your day :-)   How about the inside?

sunshine day inside

For the inside, I used the same stencil and the same colors, but with a much lighter application.  I really love the way the inside and the outside tie together.

On a personal note:

Prepping for the storm tomorrow!  It's been labelled the "monster mid-west storm".  Luckily the worst of it will miss us.  I just hope that Lou manages to get his flight home tomorrow.

As always, thank you so much for your visit - and your comments.  They certainly warm my day!

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

I really love that sentiment so much! And, I truly LOVE this card. A yellow sunshine? Perfection! :o)

I'm SO sorry you're getting hit with still MORE winter weather. We're finally seeing signs of spring weather this week and it's been so glorious. :o) I was saying yesterday that if the weather could just stay like this all year long it would be perfect. And then, I thought about it for a bit, and I realized that if we always had it, we wouldn't appreciate it's perfection because it was what was "normal". Does that make sense?

I pray you aren't hit too hard. Spring is surely on its way, right?

Hugs!

P.S. Oh, Lou, I hope you make it home! No weather delaying your arrival!

Your card certainly brightened my day! We've gotten around 10 inches of snow and it's still blowing. Those colors make me happy.
