Three cards - one layout

 Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful spring weather.  Well, at least we are experiencing spring weather (for today) where we are.  It got to 51 degrees and I sat in my study and listened to the snow melt off the roof!  Then, Lou and I took advantage of the late afternoon sun and went for our first walk around the neighborhood since fall!  I can't tell you what an exciting sound it was listening to the snow melt in the drains :-)   I know... it sounds really weird, but when you haven't heard running water in months, it really does sound good :-)

This weekend a new goodie I purchased arrived in the mail.  It's a Lawn Fawn bubble speech die.  I thought it would be a great way to showcase some of my fabulous SU DSP that rarely gets used and managed to tie sentiments  with each of the DSPs.

Here's my first card featuring the soon to be retired Summer Starfruit.

Then, I decided to do a feminine card with some balloon paper and a white embossed sentiment:

Celebration

Finally a card that Lou would appreciate :-)

Beautifulride

For the last card I decided to highlight the shape of the speech bubble with a thin layer of Basic Black card stock - I love the way it pops from the Soft Sky base.   I really like that the die works on both horizontal and vertical cards and can't wait to try it with a smaller "bubble".

I've been attending the new onlinecardclasses clean and simple 3 and there are some great new techniques that I intend to try out whilst in my craft room this weekend.   I know I won't be tempted to get outside this weekend, as the temp is going to be 26 as a high on Sunday.  Mmmm... time to stay warm inside and craft :-)

Colleen - I loved your "wet my plants" comment.  It made me LOL.

Marge - I loved the idea of renaming your Boxer to "sniffer"!

Linda - Sorry that the weather forced the canceling of the Ash Wednesday services.  This weather really is extreme!

Kelly - I love that you also enjoying waking up to the sound of the birds.  I was watching a House Hunters on HGTV the other day and the woman looked out of the window and said... those trees have got to go.  They will attract birds and make too much noise.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME!  I immediately changed the channel and thought about what you would say to THAT comment!

Jeanne - hope you are enjoying this spring weather, too!  I know your walks will be much more fun now :-)

Rach.... so glad to know that Charlie is not alone and is paired with Fred in their quest to catch their tails :-)

Well, I am off to cook supper and feed the pussycats.   Stay warm and stay safe.   Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
