Petite Petals for Paper Players #187

See Ya Later for SOS #142

Hi Everyone.  Happy Monday.

I found a new challenge site... well, new to me!  It's called Stamping Our Stash and they have a challenge that was really cool.   Use only the stash that you have on hand and the only stamped element can be the sentiment!   Now.... that gave me lots of inspiration to go off and find some of my favorite DSP and make it shine!

I used the SU banners framelits, some Birthday Basics DSP and one of the sentiments from the hostess set - See Ya Later.  I paired it with some Bermuda Bay card stock.

Here's my card:

Seeyalater birthday

I don't know why, but when I bring in cards to typepad these days, it makes it look as though the sentiment is fuzzy and blurred.  I promise it's not! :-)   I love this paper and the sentiment works so well within the banner framelit.  I wanted to tone down the Bermuda Bay card stock for the sentiment layer, so added some ink to the card stock with a blending tool.   I then took some gel rollers and added a little sparkle to the cake :-)

On a personal note:

Well.... just when we thought spring was on her way, winter decided that spring was not going to prevail today!   We woke up to snow on the ground.  Luckily, it started to melt almost immediately.  It did look pretty though, as the flakes were huge!  Lou and I decided to do a walk around our little pond and it was freezing.  We turned the corner to come home and a cold wind came up.  By the time we got home my cheeks had frozen, as had my chin and my fingers were frozen - even though I was wearing gloves!   It was wonderful to hear the calls of the chickadee though, they know spring is coming SOON!

I hope you are all managing to stay warm and cozy!   I'll be back with another card tomorrow.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Such a lovely card and something that can be mass produced very easily
Enjoy your week

Texas can't make up it's mind whether to be in the 70-80's or drop down in the 40's. Just like being on a roller coaster; 80 deg. one day and the next day it's down in the 40's.....upper 30's.

Such a cute card. I love this DSP. I used the sheet with the numbers on it with the "You're How Old?" word bubble.

What is this 'Spring' you talk of? I know it not. LOL! Jaydee, you card just makes me happy. Love the sentiment you used, and the balloon dp goes so well with it! Thanks for playing along with the Sentiments Only challenge at Shopping Our Stash!

Really pretty, and a great use of your stash. Who wouldn't't love to receive this in the mail?

Spring? So elusive this year , but I think we say that every year simply because we're so tired of winter. Looking forward to the snow melting...

That IS a fun challenge--and a fun card to join along with them. :o) I really do like Bermuda Bay--I'm so glad they brought it back. :o)

Spring? There's no such thing...:sigh: We had freezing rain, sleet and snow last night and into this evening. My sunny little daffodils are all frozen over. I could cry. :o(

My biggest fear is we're going to go straight from Winter to blistering heat. Ugh! Let me have spring, PUH-LEEZ?

I hope you thawed out quickly. Those sudden gusty winds are downright chilling. :o(

P.S. Hi Lou! :o)
