Rev up the Fun for Paper Players # 192
April birthdays...

Houston.... we have contact - oh... and blog candy. and a little fun!

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday.   Finally typepad is back online and my blog is accessible.

Typepad - my hosting service - was first attacked with a Denial of Service on Thursday and they battled all day Friday - Sunday to try to get everything fixed.  They thought they had everything under control when they were attacked again on Monday and everything fell apart then.  Up until Monday the effect on blogs had been intermittent, after Monday's attack my blog was down until last night - along with many others.

That poor team must have been exhausted - it was pretty bad the first time, but the second time must have been overwhelming.  Anyway.... it seems that everything is now back to normal.

I have some fun things to share with you tonight - and, as I have been absent so much the last couple of weeks, I thought a little blog candy fun was in order!  Before I get to that though, lets look at who has been visiting us:

I called this shot - fly away birdie.... if you look carefully you can see the two turkey's on the floor under the feeder... you can see the one on top of the feeder.... but... on the left hand side, you can see a little black blur... that was a red-shouldered blackbird who was VERY perturbed by this enormous bird jumping up onto the feeder next to him - and he decided to exit stage left very fast :-)

All of the snow has melted on the wetland and it leaves behind some puddles.  These are where the peepers and other frogs sing their mating song.  if you look carefully, you can see that the deer are still in their winter coats and are pretty difficult to spot against the brown grasses.

I was on a conference call this afternoon and noticed that Georgina was out looking for newly emerging green plants... yes... we do have some... and she's very fussy about what she likes.  She found something, I'm not sure what it was - but that is one of the reason we planted native grasses, flowers and shrubs... to provide food and shelter for the wildlife.

Now..... how about a little blog candy?   Yeah... it's a good time I think :-)  I really do appreciate that you have all been so patient - and I know how frustrating it is when someone who is supposed to be a blogger doesn't actually blog!  It was frustrating for me, too.  I've been trying to put a post up since my Paper Players card went up on Saturday.... but was totally unable to.  :-)

So..... on offer - a Stampin' Up! umbrella perfectly sized to fit into your handbag or tote.  It's a beautiful shade of Wild Wasabi and I know you will get lots of use out of it as we move into summer!

BUT.... I can hear you asking what you have to do to earn this wonderful little prize courtesty of moi?  This is where the fun comes in.

See these flowers below..... with a card..... well they were from a famous person..... no... not Lou :-)  You have to guess who sent me these mystery flowers.  The first person to correctly guess will receive the umbrella.   My only hint.... famous and male!

So.... leave me a message on this blog post and give me your wildest guess... I promise someone will be right.... I can tell you it wasn't Prince Charles... but that's all I am going to say :-)

I can't wait to hear who you think sent them to me :-)

Before I go, I'd like to send out special prayers to Jeanne and her grandson, Gavin.  If you have a prayer list, please add Jeanne's family to your list as they wait for Gavin to recover from a terrible accident over the weekend.   Jeanne - you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Thoughts and prayers for the rest of you who need a little lift today.

I'll be back tomorrow with a card.

Thanks for hanging in there.... and for your patience.

Hugs

Jaydee
