Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
This is going to be a really quick post for you tonight. I have a card I made for two challenges:
I love it when I can find a sketch and a color challenge and bring them both together. Especially when they both take me out of my comfort zone :-)
I really wanted to work with the Work of Art stamp set from the new catalog and have always loved the "smile" sentiment from the Happy Day. It was, if you will excuse the pun, a happy day for me when I could bring the two things together :-)
Here's my card:
I would never have put these colors together, but they really do work very well! A really good reason to do challenges :-)
Don't forget to pop along to both the Color Me and Casethissketch challenge sites and check out the fabulous design team - and submission - cards. Lots and lots of inspiration for you.
On a personal note:
Another glorious day here in Mn. in the 70s. Low humidity. Lots of sunshine. Birds singing... what else could one wish for :-)
I found this little guy trying to hide on our front door step today:
Isn't he a cutie? We have to check underneath the cushions on the chairs to make sure that he isn't hiding underneath. I mean, we don't want to squash him :-)
Of course, I couldn't close without another shot of Niles and Daphne
They really are spectacular birds! Even if Niles does seem intent on smashing our windows :-)
Thank you to all of you who leave a message - or send me emails - telling me how much your enjoy the nature shots. I really do enjoy sharing them with you.
I'll be back on Thursday with another card. In the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

I can't get enough of those enameled hearts and dots! They are such a fun accent and finishing touch. :o) As for the colors, oh my goodness, the names all made me hungry. :oP
I do so love Niles and Daphne and am overjoyed they are returned. :o) The toad is delightful, as only a toad can be. ;o)
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou--I hope you're good at window repair as Niles seems like a pretty sturdy guy...:oP

Jaydee, Love the way the colors blend on the Chevron. Did you use markers or maybe an aqua painter to get that effect? Great card! Simple but striking!

Wow Jaydee, you nailed both challenges on the head and what a beautiful card it is. Love the color combination.
Enjoy your day and have a wonderful evening.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathy as well

I thought Daphne disappeared. So did you decide to call the "new girl" Daphne also?

So good to see Niles and Daphne back again. Your shot yesterday (?) of them was spectacular. Take good care of your little mottled friend. He is, indeed, a cutie.

It's possible that I enjoy your yard, your generosity in sharing your hugs and prayers with all of us [too many days lately I've really needed them; thanks!] and your critters more than your cards.....but I'm a card maker and I never would have found your blog if I didn't share your love of paper crafting. Thanks for being here/there.
