Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. I have a quick post for you tonight. A blooper card - and some photos :-) You know, sometimes, you spent hours trying to create a card and then......... well... something goes wrong and you cannot fix it! Let's take tonight's card. I wanted to watercolor a background and stamp the plovers from the Wetlands set. I decided to do the background first and then stamp the birds. WRONG IDEA!!!! I spent ages trying to get the background right, and it came out pretty well. I stamped the image from Wetlands over the background. I then... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday. It's the fabulously talented Sandy's turn to host our challenge this week and she has a great Tic-Tac-Toe for us: I decided to go straight across the middle....... green, patterned paper and thank you. There is a gorgeous sheet of green paper in the new SU Park Lane DSP. It has a little touch of red in it, and I used that as inspiration for my flower. As usual, I cut out the banner from the vanilla coaster board. I LOVE this stuff. Have I told you that already??? :-) The sentiments in the "Let Your... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Sorry. I couldn't resist it :-) Our friends have arrived on American soil and are enjoying the delights of the gorgeous city of Chicago for a couple of days before they arrive here on Sunday. I walked around the garden this morning and took some photographs. Here's how our wetland looks today. It is so pretty. The prairie grasses are growing in in the... Read more →

Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. I couldn't resist playing with Just Add Ink's challenge this week. It's a completely stunning graphic pattern and colors that are timeless. Isn't that striking? I immediately went looking for triangles on a stamp. Nothing! So I had to come up with something else and I remembered a stencil that I had. Now, it's not angular, but I think you get the idea. All that I needed to do was get out my Daffodil Delight and Smokey Slate inks, a blender tool and my stencil. I had such fun creating the background. Stenciling really forces me... Read more →
