Celebrate a new arrival - for Addicted to CAS
19 July 2014
Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
It's my pleasure to host the Addicted to CAS challenge this week and I chose this code word for you all:
Now, this is a very versatile code word and the design team created some fabulous cards for your inspiration and showed exactly how versatile it is. Don't forget to pop along to Addicted to CAS and check out their cards. We are joined by our very talented guest designer Cathy again this week.
We hope that you will play along with us and, if your card is chosen as the winner, our wonderful sponsor has this great prize for you and they are generously offering you a pack of 7 digi's from their store!!!
I tried to photograph the card so that you would see the shiny duck - and also see that I had stamped the focal image onto a piece of Whisper White Card stock, cut it into a rectangle, and mounted it on clear foam tape to pop it from the frame behind. I also popped the entire backing frame with double sided tape to lift it from the Polka Dot background.
Of course, I had to create an inside for the card:-) I found a lovely sentiment from a PaperCrafts "sentiment" magazine and printed it onto Whisper White card stock using my printer. I cut it to size and then used the rubber ducky image from the new Embellished Events set to emphasize the duck theme :-)
Don't forget to pop along to Addicted to CAS and play along with us.
Oh... and whilst you are there - check Happy Little Stampers. The fabulous Kylie has created this brand new environment to help foster creativity and connect us stampers together. It's shaping up to be a great resource and Kylie is currently hosting a challenge with perks. If you haven't checked it out yet - you should! The first competition has just been announced and there are wonderful prizes being given away! Pop on over to register and click on the heading 'Current Competition'. Make sure you get all your bonus entries in!! You don't want to miss out!
On a personal note:
Well, I got through my first week back at the office after vacation. Even though it was a short week - it felt like a VERY long week and I found that I was very tired at the end of today and really looking forward to the weekend. Oh... heck... who am I kidding. I always look forward to the weekend! :-)
I'll be back with my Paper Players card on Sunday - and some shots of the garden and how summer is progressing in our neck of the woods. As always, I do appreciate your comments and your visits. I especially appreciate those of you who have been with me a long time - and those of you who comment and send me emails regularly. I feel that I get to know a little about you with each post - and that you get to know each other a little more. I also love that my visitors and commenters are from all around the world ... from here in the good ol USof A, to Europe, to Canada and Africa. It never ceases to amaze me how universal this hobby of ours is - and I appreciate all of you.
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. Hugs
Jaydee

Oooooh! Sweet polka dots for a baby card! And, I just love that chubby rubber ducky! As I say so often, you always seem to add that one little touch that takes your cards from good to stunning--the CE on the duck is perfection! :o)
