Hi Everyone. Happy Monday. Continuing the ice cream theme tonight :-) I saw this great inspiration across at a challenge site which is new to me. Tag You're It. Now, my regular readers know that I love adding tags to cards, so this seemed like the perfect challenge site for me. The challenge this week is a gorgeous gradient color tag. I decided to use another of the stamps from the SSS August Card kit but wanted to try to replicate the gradient colors of the tag. I used watercoloring to do it and the results are subtle and not... Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. I hope you all had a fabulous day. Me? Well, I got to do some housework, which, believe it or not, I actually enjoy... and I got to spend some time in my crafting room making cards and playing with Charlie on his climber :-) As usual, I went looking for some inspiration in the form of challenges and saw this amazing sketch across at Freshly Made Sketches Once I saw the sketch, I had this idea to use the Simon Says Stamp kit from August which has an ice cream theme. I love the bright colors and really had to force myself to use the Tangelo Twist DSP. It's a really bright color for me, but I loved the way it turned out. Instead of sequins, I decided to go a little more masculine in feel and used the Basic Grey... Read more →
Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday. I am so glad that it is hump day! I am so looking forward to the weekend. I didn't get much time in my stamping space this weekend, and haven't gotten inside there yet this week, however, I did make a card for the fusion challenge using this fun sketch. (I used just the sketch and not the gorgeous flower/cupcake inspiration photo.) I think this is a great sketch to use to highlight DSP and that's exactly what I did with this card. I actually made two different cards using totally different DSP sets and I'll... Read more →
